I bought mine in July and LOVE IT! Have the FEL and Box Blade with an I-Match hitch. The Snowblower comes in two weeks.

It has out performed my expectations. The Dealer has been great with follow-on advice.

I'd buy it all over again!

Leveling driveway with B7800 and L402 FEL and using the "float" position on the FEL to backdrag. All of a sudden the joystick will not stay locked up in the "float" position, it just jumps back down. It will still work as float but I have to hold it up there...anyone had this problem before? It's only 3 wks. old so warranty will cover repair but I'm just curious before they come and pick it up tomorrow. <br>

I work in a steel mill. The company that I use to work for did not have good upper management plus it had to much management compared to who I work for now. No matter how good a work force is it can't overcome poor management decisions.

Depending on your needs like the hitch that was brought up by DK the used is a bargin depending on the new price being right which you didn't give us to work with.

I can honestly say that I really did not need a CUT because I managed 9 years without one. (Lots of shovel and wheelbarrow work however...and I am not getting any younger.) Once you get one, you will be able to get many jobs done at least twice as fast...some much faster than that. I agree with the bigger tractor statements already posted. You can go too big but I found the mid-size Deere is an all-around great performer. I always look forward to getting behind the wheel to do everything from mowing, to grading the drive, pushing snow, and my daughter loves to take rides also. I haven't ever wished for anything else. Did you know that Deere's newly styled '05 mid-sized models will be...TURBO CHARGED!!!! Can't wait to see what these can do. Tractors and loaders look just like the new 20 series only smaller. Also, now they have a 3 year warranty as well. Go for it because you really will use it almost daily.

I am very happy with my 7 series hoe for my 790.
It has done everything I have asked for and then some.
You really need to consider what you really need ie.
a tractor with a hoe or a real hoe.
Any thing like a 990 in a hoe I would buy the JD 110 which is a reverse enginered backhoe that is also a heavy duty tractor.
They are built very differently for their own specific reasons !!!

Vapor barriers can be usefull, but it is the warm air that causes moisture to travel. If you don't have any heat in the barn, there really isn't anything to cause the moisture to move. The temperature inside the barn is going to be whatever the outside temperature is if you don't heat it. Insulation is only useful to stop heat transfer. If you don't have heat, there isn't anything to insulate. All the insulation is iseful for is to help keep the barn floor warm if you heat it. The ground under the floor will freeze if the barn isn't heated continuously, insulated or not.

Compressable insulation will reduce the bearing capacity of the slab. The best thing you can have under your floor is a well compacted granular fill, with plenty of drainage.
I don't have insulation or a plastic vapor barrier under my floor. I heat it only when I use it in the winter. I have a couple feet of compacted sand and gravel under the slab, and have no moisture problems. With a well draining fill, there isn't any moisture to move.

Most modern industrial plant floors are fiber-reinforced comcrete over 12"-18" of engineered fill.

Eight-N what is the length of your hydraulic cylinder from center to center of your ball joints in the retracted position ?? Mine is roughly 18". It isn't on the tractor right now and is exteneded somewhat so I guesstimated. Either I don't quite understand or my box blade is different but I don't have a problem ripping and carrying dirt at the same time.

Hi Doug. I don't have a Class III Boomer but I do have a TC33D and I had to bleed my system when I changed fuel filters . There is a picture and procedure in your operators manual. On mine all I needed was 13 or 15 mm wrench to loosen a bolt while tapping the starter.

hello, quick update on EZ WEIGHTS, they advised me that they no longer sell kits for 3 hole rims. They did not say why. I guess I will be buying from the dealer? Jeff

I found out that the coil warmers were bad. Does anyone know where to find new ones. None of the auto parts or local tractor places have them.

I asked a local station in central Iowa about that a few years back. They didn't start ordering the blended diesel fuel until the temperature was consistently dropping below freezing. We haven't had that in Iowa yet considering it was 70 degrees yesterday. Don't worry, they're calling for snow on Thursday.

Thank for reminding me that I need to pick up blended fuel when it comes available.

The last pitman arm we made for the IH mower on the Farmall M, complete with one-way hyd lift....was made mostly with a draw knife and spokeshave - ash from the farm lumber pile up in the haymow....about 1965, probably.

In 1999 I bought a new Ford NH 3010 with loader. when I sold my ranch I did not need that tractor but kept a couple of smaller ones.
I had paid $19,000 , less a 950 JD trade. I took it to a NH dealer and put it on consignment and priced it $2500 above the Blue-Book and only gave oup $1,000 of that when I sold it and just about broke even considering NH had replace the engine on re-call, the new engine had only 60 hours on it the rest of the tractor & loader had 300 hours.

Actually at your 50Hr service you only change the hyd. filter not the oil it self. There will be some spillage while removing the filters. There are Two places where you can drain the hyd. fluid from. One is on the drop box on the mid PTO housing. The second is right behind that on the trans housing. If you have a mmm you will have too remove the deck to access either drain.

I am looking for information on the reliability, and parts and service avialablility on an IH - Mahindra 35 HP diesel with 163 hours on it. Found one selling for $8000, but I do not know much about this brand. Any information would be greatly appreaciated.

There are sites for most states and some colleges. There is quite a lot of information duplication but I think that you will find some help. I have a Kubota M4700 with the standard shift transmission. There is a 4th slot for the forward-reverse-hi-Low selector. My tractor does not have the extra low gear from the factory. Is it possible to add this function, if so is it terribly expensive? Wouldn't trade my big Orange for anything, a real workhorse.

Hi Rod B, Did you get that tiller. I was wondering how you went with the PTO also. I was handed a Shibaura to pay a small debt back. The kids love it, but to have them slashing the place as they go would be great.
I have asked "Cowlitz Tractor" about them Gear Box Converter", sound just the thing.
There are tag-a-long tillers available.
