Does anybody have the diagram for this wiring? I have one of the 7305's, and I'm having alot of trouble starting it as well. Sounds like I'm having the same problem as all of you. I know I'm a couple years late, but I'd really appreciate it if anyone can help me out. I can't even get mine to start currently. I tried emailing the "badriver" guy but it said the email wouldn't go through (probably because of the fact I'm years late. Thank you.

Thanks guys. I finally got the terminals cleaned up. They weren't really that bad, some corrosion. Tried starting it up, and it's exactly like it was before. I turn the key, and once the glow light is out, it just steady clicks as I hold the key on. Any clue on what else it could be? The battery definitely seems to be strong.

New to forums and diesel engines having some trouble though

well I have not got to look at MH yet.it is setting outside.........I think it is a bearing spun.<br>

now the massey 65 diesel.......it could be:<br>

a bad injector dumped fuel, bad head gasket, or spun bearing......<br>

am going to remove injectors as soon as I can to see if that is problem on top end.<br>

I have a 1964 mf 65 gas I just finished up that has been in the shop.....need to get it out to get the diesel in.<br>

thick white smoke can be water fog or un-combusted diesel fog. A pungent odor of either antifreeze or diesel will tell you which.
It's not unusual if a diesel doesn't fire up for it to puff diesel fog. It's sort of like a gasoline engine becoming flooded.
My YM165D is at the neighbors now, and I can't remember if that light comes on with thermostart or not.

Sounds like you made a great choice for your needs. While I'd love a larger tractor, it wouldn't be practical for my application.

So far (9 hrs. on meter), the 2350 has done everything I've asked it to. I've re-graded and shaped 1200' of gravel driveway and drainages. I've moved dirt, gravel, and rocks numerous times. I've mowed several acres of grass and tall weeds. And I've carried the garbage out every Tuesday evening. Plus it fits in my 1 car garage shop. If it does well in a Pennsylvania ice storm with snow, I'm in hog heaven!

There's been a lot of discussion regarding this topic. One question I have is how do you determine the best angle to run the rear blade at to minimize moving material other than snow (gravel driveway). On my BX2350 with the top link at the tightest position, the angle still seems a bit too aggressive. I read an interesting post about putting a half pipe of sort along the blade to remove the cutting action. Short of that, is there a better way?

I am about to open Pandoras Box here so everyone hold on..
I am the dealer from Pa (Jim Fisher's Dealer)
I am traveling to Augusta Ga. in January to attend a customer/dealer focus meeting with John Deere and the 4000 engineers....My response to this board and my dedication to JD, my Dealership, and my Customers has prompted me to be bold enough with this next statement to all of you out there in scuffville (etc.) Please put togeather a BREIF summary of your concerns with your JD tractor and E-mail them to the address attached. I am interested in all of your comments and suggestions....Please no JD BASHING....Those E-mails will be canned..
Folks I intend to go to Augusta with as a much information as possible.
I also plan to find a pc when there and logon to jplan for JD to see first hand.

In response to the 4100 Tractor it is assembled completely overseas buy a company that John Deere bought three years ago I believe the name was (Shibotzu)That Tractor Factory is run by Deere and they assemble the 4100 and (2) European 4000 Models. The Engines are still purchased from Yanmar along with a contract for approx 1000 Tractoe units per year for the next five years (790) a direct replacement of the 770 tractor. As for the rest of the 4000's series they were born in Augusta Ga approximently three years ago. The same engineering team that developed the 5000 series tractors developed the 4000's of today and the engine is still purchased from Yanmar at least for now...

Your concerns and questions are about to be answered by Deere & Co. New axles are on the horizon...I know your patience has been tested...but the light at the end of the tunnel is near.

Oh and the boomer super steer you spoke of that your neighbor has .....to acheive the same turning circle with her tractor as a JD 4000 she has to lock her brakes .... the brake pedal is on the same side of the platform as the hydro pedal..check the specs, on the Boomers.

In response to the on going scuffing problem......
All new tractors designed and built by JD Augusta Factory after 8/1/99 had a new axle installed on them that changed the position of the front steering arms and cylinders they also have different gears in the 4wd power-train to make the unit less aggressive. As far as when the new axles willl be available we have been told some time after Jan 1st 2000. Each Customer that has experienced problems with their front axle will have the opportunity to have a replacement axle installed in their tractor. The new axles will fit the previous tractors..as far as the tire replacement each individual dealer should be able to assist their customer's needs.
Deere & Co. has not forgotten this problem or your tractors they know there are issues in the field that need to be handled. Unfortunately they have spent the better part of the year answering transmission issues and keeping up with production. My advice is to stay in touch with your Dealer and keep them informed of your problem ...and remember any JD Dealer can honor your warranty issues so don't let them tell you there is no fix....

Telescoping Draft links have recently been added as an option to the current 4000 series line up they are available to purchase for current models. i'm not sure of the part# but I will check and post the part# in the near future. JD dealer Oxford PA.
