Boom mower with flail cutter head on it. Had bought a flail mower head for my 5ton excavator and used it on it but it was a little large for that machine on capacity. Came across an old mower that needed a new cutter (was a flail mower on it of the same size as mine). Had to make a mount for my cutter for the mower and pulled the valves off of it also as was using on tractor with enough remotes to operate the boom but used the pto pump on the cutter for the cutter head only. Made one mistake...in pulling the valves off missed the fact the relief valve was in them so ended up with pump and cutter with no relief valve. Worked fine till had a hunk of wood to jam the cutter and then ended up with busted pump. AND I MEAN a busted one. Split it the full length I think on both sides. The cutter had a step up gear box to drive pump and I was going use that set up and then thought go ahead and do that and when the gear box goes you will never find a replacement and could not think of a reason to not to use the pto pump and eliminate the gearbox and pto shaft.

Back to the BBQ resturant, if you have not been here since then you would not recognize Myrtle Beach. Growing too fast. Take care my friend.

Just wondering, if you disconnect the hoses to the steering motor with the tractor OFFF, could you turn the steering wheel. With it setting up and if there was a leak into the steering motor if could be rusted in place.

Now the proper name may not be motor but think if the hoses get connected wrong it will become a motor while plumbed to control the steering it may be called a valve. Been too long since I worked in that industry. Worked for heavy equipment manufactor and we used total hyd steering systems and if the steering valve on was plumbed wrong it became a very dangerous high speed arm remover. I know, had a coworker lose his arm due to one being plumbed wrong.

could be bad guage, sending unit, blown fuse, wire cut or disconnected. If coolant is real low may affect it.

Sorry not that familar with their system but had about same thing to happen on a Kubota recently and thougth oh well bad fuel and that was reason I replaced and then bleed my system. Well it failed to have full power, it would reach max rpm but with no load, just terrible on power. Finally remembered had a vine to catch on tractor in that area and looked very carefully there and it ahd partly engage the mechanic pull to cut off shut down if the electrical system did not work. I also found when I bleed the system had not opened a valve in the return line fully. I think that tractor has a pulll to stop the engine so check to be sure it is fully releasing and be sure all valves are fully open or close as should be.

If this is happening while it is being driven I suspect you have leak in the exhaust system. If while sitting still then would try to extend the exhaust. I still would check for leak in the system.

Not sure our gator is same model but have you tried pulling it (the lever) up while depressing the release button? If that does not work makes me think something is come lose or broken. Can think of no problem with using a lubericant to spray now the lever around the release button.

Well an update. I did buy a 10 foot pull type box blade product of Lowery in Alabama. It has of course a lift but also tilt using the right wheel to raise or lower the right end of box blade which makes sense since that is the side the lift controls are on tractor.

I have used it a few hours and have a 90 some hp four wheel drive JD and it a good load for the tractor. Depending on what you are doing will over load the tractor but not often so far. I have been able to cut down reasonable hard clay and to pull full box blade amount of dirt reasonable well. It is not a set it and forget system at all for you do use the main lift to slowly deposit extra dirt when building up an area.
Is it better than box blade on the 3 pth hitch...well it is longer and does better job taking down high spots and filling low spots compared to blade on the lift by far. It does not track as well around outside of curve for it is a trailer and will track inside the curve. It cuts much better than my 3 pth bb did and it holds almost 3 times the dirt my 3pth bb does.
Would recommend it to anyone who has real dirt moving or leveling needs.

Ran into this Saturday on fel as the hoses came lose while using the tractor and the weight of the bucket put load on the hoses. Was not near wrenches but was near excavator. We took the excavator and picked up a little on the bucket and that was the end of the pressure issue. Please note the other hose had already been reinstall. Both were pulled off in working on dirt pile but only the up hose really was any issue. kt

I have been told New Holland and Case are being built in same factory as both are own by Fiat I think it is. Never heard of NH full size being built by anyone other than them but not a NH amateur much less expert.

Do look at insurance to protect you in your business venture. Is it going well?

Sorry your mother in law living with you is difficult. My Mom and Mother in law have both lived with us and as far as those two were concern it was well. Now some siblings would not do anything to help them before they moved in with us and then were not happy there were here. How do you say greedy.

Here moisture would be an issue but seldom do we see a stone floor under a shelter as stone is not a local product. If concrete here does not have vapor barrier under it, moisture is still major issue. Other is if you need to use a jack or such the concrete is much better foundation and sooner or later machines such as saws, presses have a way of showing up where equipment is stored. Now if you have nice work shop already forget that one. kt

What would it cost me to trade my ec45 volvo about 12 years old with open station for a 5 ton or 7 ton sany machine? Located in the USA in South Carolina. Want rubber tracks, blade that angles. Cab would be nice.

Not familiar with your tractor at all but some general ideas:
Have you check the fluid?
The power steering and 3 pth may not use the same pump.
Do you have a valve that controls the speed of the 3 pth, if so have you check to be sure it is open?
Sure the linkage has not come loose? It is easy to get a stick into the linkage to jam it or to even bend it when bushhogging.

You may also want to try NAPA, yes ago they sold a good bit of parts for MF and Ford tractors or did here. That was 40 years ago, a lot has changed.

You check what has been suggested for you sure do not need a pump replacement or repair but one question, it is not somehow being parked where it could be getting rain or water in the exhaust system is it?

You are blessed to have your parents and mother in law. It can be a strain but treat them with respect and love as it seems you are doing for you shall miss them. Experience speaking. My mother in law is our last parent and I miss each one who has passed. My wife and will time to time talk about how things have changed and how we have worked to improve the family land, both sides, and wonder how pleased they would be if they could see it now. Put a lot of work, time and money into doing so and thankful for every little bit.

Do not know on the fan but of the tractors I know all pull the air. A quick check here, may give a good idea. With tractor running a good rpm see if you feel air coming through the radiator. If not I would change it to pull. I did post this on your thread about it running hot but also check the air filter and the air intake system. If clogged or heavy restricted will cause the engine to run hot also. My guess you will find air filter is way past needing to be replaced if you have not done so already. let us know.
