Just wondering, did your tractor run hot before you made these repairs or has it been running hot the full time?

It is possible, you may can look at the bald itself and tell by damage to the paint on the blade where it bolts on the tractor. Years ago think that was somewhat common here as our summer heat is, well hot.

If you have removed the radiator to check it most likely you have checked all the normal first steps like is has right mixture of coolant, thermostat and water pump. Did you check the air filter? If its really needing to be replace it will cause it to run hot. Matter of fact check from the intake to the filter just in case a wasp nest or such is in there.

I would not put a backhoe on any tractor's lift arms only. Sooner or later you will operate the backhoe with outriggers not down and the lift arms cannot be strong enough to support that load if pulled sideways and it happens. If with a true tack excavator you can pull the machine at times and I just do not believe any tractor lift arms can take such a side load. My 3 cents. Inflation.

Could be seeds or such built up in alternator and did some damage but follow Dennis's suggestion and try blowing it clear with air first.

As to parts for a Massey years ago NAPA did carry many of them. Perkins engines were easy to find parts for.

If alternator is issue try to find a shop that rebuilds them.

On the ability to install the backhoe in general: if it uses a frame mount would not count on it fitting. If 3 pth yes but not easy on the 3 pth system. Can damage tractor with 3 pth mount backhoe. Of course no idea on the hydraulics if it runs off the tractors system but could run on by it's own pto pump.

Now as to the value of the tractor use something like tractorhouse.com and you may like to look at the tractor on tractordata.com. Neat web site for tractor info.

Not being a fuel system expert but it sounds like there is a valve in the circuit not opening.

What happened here? Did you run out of fuel or did it just stop or failed to crank one day or you changed out filters and it will not crank?

I tell this often and not aware of any issue with the suggestion: to verify fuel issue get a helper, take care of WD40 and shoot short burst into air intake while they are cranking the engine. The engine should start and run as the WD40 burst hit it. If it does then fuel issue. But check for either manual emergency cut off cable pulled, electric solenoid not working, sure what it sounds like.

Glad it worked for you. Sany machines were here for a short time and did not sell, no idea reason. Think have seen one or two on a lot recently but did not pay much attention.

But my question is: for you to be an expert on cranes and it seems excavators what is your background? What industry do you work in? How big is the operation?

Such would help me know how to value your suggestions.

Somehow I found it strange they were surprised the under 100hp tractor market was more active then the over 100hp. If would think the regular capacity pickup market is more active than the 3/4 up tonnage is just due to seeing what is on the road and around me I bet there are 2 under 100hp for each over 100hp for many use smaller tractors for landscaping, construction work, small farms, trailers and sprayers on bigger farms and so forth. Do not forget us weekend warriors either.

Realize there are many over 100hp out there and most farmers of real size use 100hp plus for about all they do but then many still have one under for their utility work.

As to buying at auctions, good place to quickly learn you are not as smart as you thought you were and I mean quickly and costly. I learned long time ago do my home work for what I wanted before I go, even if I find something else before it comes up for sale think with my brain and come to max and I mean fully max price I will go and live with it. But also have price I am willing to run it to quickly to run off those playing with the item. If it is worth $2,000 I have no problem pushing the bid above $1,000above real quickly to let all know I am serious. Has worked for me. Now I DO NOT OFTEN BUY AT AUCTIONS. For me my best is one on one. I judge the owner as well as the item for idea on how it has been treated.
Maybe cause I have four pieces of equipment and all below 100hp I thought many more do. lol Art probably does not even carry play pen toys like I use.

Should have sent this about three months ago to my brother. He has no crane but he did have right hub to drop off his tractor due to bolts holding it on being lose and falling out and those that did not fall out sheared. So will say was all need to watch for lose bolts crane or no crane.

Look at the shaft that runs through it to see if it is worn to where there is a groove in it that is holding the plate on. It also could be they used a liquid of even gasket that has just stuck holding the plate on. Would suggest you take hammer (would be careful if you use steel hammer) that you tap around the bolt pattern to see about breaking the seal, if that is the issue.

I bought a used rdth60 in good shape to cut my 3 acre open field of centipede. i use it every other week and it cuts poorly....the grass gets about 10-12" high and i have to adjust the deck to max height. i have noticed the belt slipping so i have tighten it several times.
i cut the grass mostly when its early morning and its wet.

I have a new first question, you are 100% sure you have blades on the mower that are rotating with the cutting edge and not where the back of the blade or the none cutting edge is leading? I have used Bush Hog brand and Oregon and both cut good but the Bush Hog is heavier and will last longer.

My first question having had yard with very good centipede and still cut my mother in laws yard with centipede is why do you let it grow that tall? Here for centipede does not grow blades that tall only seed heads. I have used and still do with mother in laws yard use a Bush Hog rear finishing mower but side discharge and it does a fine job but it is cut at same height as we do with regular mower as all finishing mowers are set at shame height so any combo works together for us.

Again based upon centipede here if I were to cut that grass at the highest setting on my Bush Hog RFM all it would be cutting is the grass seed heads and if you are not cutting it as full rpms (mine requires 540) it will not do a good job. My nephew when he moved here was having issues with his RFM till he finally understood it had to run the 540 rpm to get the tip speed. Again if you are only cutting seed heads that is hard for me with centipede, I do not care the brand of mower or the exact deck height. There are light enough they will lay down or mover over especially when it is dry. BUT I have never cut centipede that high and without looking it up it is a very low growing grass (leaves as it is a creeper)again here. That is why it is by far the most common lawn here, my guess is three or four to one to anything else.

On total aside had supper (southern term of the evening meal) with one of my wife's cousins Saturday from Alabama. Located near Auburn University.

My brother had a Long tractor and the bolts holding the right hub/axle assembly came out. ALL OF THEM. Worth looking to be sure no loose bolt holding the hubs to transmission and all for that would or should cause noise also. Will say it totaled his tractor, took a hunk out the transmission and then his tractor is probably 25 years maybe older.

As with anything you have to look at it in the whole picture. Willing to do the work get lower price. Fair trade. My baby sister has recently moved to Texas (all she says not on map as to where) and last week said as hot as blue blazes. Then they sent the heat to us.

Have you talked with the second mechanic since he did the work? If not I would invest in a phone call to him. Sure would try not to have to haul it back to him. If it came with any guarantee no doubt it would require it to be back at his shop. May I suggest if you take it back to mechanic test it before leaving there.

Hey, the second valve, does it not mount the same as the first one? Are you sure it is for your tractor and not a generic or such make do he used? As to the first valve leaking, was it where it bolted to the tractor, around the spools or where? Seems strange to have issue with both valves. Unless there is issue with the tractor or using old parts with issues in them.

First congratulations on the tractor. It should have come with owners manual with straight forward what to change at that 50 hour mark. Understand about the amount of fluid you are talking about but put it in perspective against the cost of the tractor and it is not much at all. On a Kubota I bought was told don't worry about the fluid Those systems are running under pressure so pumps and any material in there is not good.

A few years back got smart and added addition lights to the canopy cover on my two kubotas for extra lighting. Well one it worked fine but the other soon realized very bad place to place headlights unless you need them only in the winter on an open platform tractor. Boy the bugs!! Now that was the field tractor, the one I would use to mow my yard with did not have near same bug issue.

Do not know this tractor model but there is any valve that you need to switch between the front end loader and the lift?

Also does it have draft and lift levers and are both raised? The lift will or will NOT lift with nothing on it?

Look below how many post you have and it should show link there to "edit/delete".

No idea what your local market is like but for me, I much rather buy a quality product use than a lower quality product new. It is impossible to improve low quality once is it made (very seldom any way) as easy as to replace a worn out quality part. There are some good used tractor search engines out there and think Case and JD both have their own but there are many others. One point, those big web sites often are running a week or two behind the lot so expect to hear it is sold. The dealers that have web sites normally are very prompt in their site's info. Would suggest you do some looking, find dealerships you would buy from and talk with them in person if reasonable. If not at least on the phone for often the best buys are sold before they are on the big web sites. Have bought from two different dealerships used before the tractor hit their lot and in botch cases were comfortable enough with the person working with to in one case bought it totally over the phone and did not see till unloaded here and the other committed to it based upon inspection on their lot when ready. Turned out I went a day early and did not even hear it run till being unloaded for me. Sorry on the urgency you are facing. I have a Kubota basically replaced by a John Deere (nothing against Kubota just found what I wanted in used JD but did look at used Kubota also) and thought was going to sell the Kubota. Then over the winter got to thinking so if you sell the Kubota you have one main work tractor (other is a 27 hp, a good yard tractor and such) so not much in the field. Then I thought you have had the Kubota do down in the crunch of getting ready to plant so decide to keep it. Turned out to be wise move not due to breakdown but allowed my brother to help with getting fields ready and planting as he was able to run one for me and me the other.
