Not many hours but did you check the fluid level? Not familiar with Mahindra but there is a range shift lever I would think, sure it is also properly engaging?

Being under the seat it most likely is for the lift. Is there linkage on this valve?

If you have a true issue there can not help.

But, while the tractor was running the lift went up on its own? Were you by change still mowing and there could have been a limb or such that came in contract with the linkage and push the linkage raising the 3 pth hitch or even bending the linkage where it raised the hitch and made little change in the lever position?

Is it possible you had raised the mower and then it failed to lower? If this is what happen still look for limb in the linkage or bent or lose linkage and if you tractor has a manual (screw in all I have seen) to lock the lift up could it have gotten turn shut without your realizing it?

Do be careful, if you the weight on the lift and the problem is found the lift could drop with no notice and quickly. kt

Never had ours in snow (we seldom get any) but in mud that can be about helpless! Learned to not spit on the ground in front of the wheels! Might not be that helpless but seems so and we have the oversize mud tires on it. Is tire chains possible on it? kt

Have no idea what the brake setup is on this tractor but is this the brake you use to park it? Normally those you press the foot brake and then engage the hand operated lever. If that is the set up doubt you adjust the hand brake itself but the foot brakes. That may be a linkage adjustment. kt

A few years ago I watched a crew remove a tree leaning over a family owned house. Looked like monkeys in the tree. They only used ropes and such rigging along with man power. Had plenty of room to use equipment had they wanted to but said they rather do it this way. Wish had recorded it.

Me I want long cable, heavy tractor, no buildings and know then I am safe to cut it. LOL Still remember brushing my Mama's house with the very tip of a large tree as it took my small then Datsun pickup and pulled it sideways. I really do admire those who are talented at felling trees. There is more to read there than many think.

Joel, do be careful, we had experienced person get killed her two years ago as his bucket failed while rather high. I think it fell apart due to previous damage. Not sure now what caused it to happen when it did. kt

Have no idea if that labor cost is right or not. How it could happen with 500 hours, I would say it was by not engaging the 4 wheel drive per the manual, or maybe using 4 wheel drive on solid surface such as a highway or parking lot. sorry about the problem.

Mudjackers? Is that the people who jack up a slab that has settled or such? I have seen add for a company here who does using some sort of fluid that hardens pumps up such slabs. kt

Years ago I helped a friend replace a light fixture as it was bad. How od you know, none of the light bulbs work. Guess what, the bulbs were all bad. When we got through the new fixture did not work using those bulbs to which I ask, when did the light stop working of the owner to which she said, when the last bulb stopped. Learn do the simple wear items test first.

There is normally a percentage chart on many of the antifreeze containers. Of course it is hard to know how many gallons that tire holds or is for me. Maybe you could mix it before pumping it in. kt

A thought hit me, take the bearings you have there to the Kubota shop and ask them to pull a bearing off the shelf (assume they will have them) and see if they don't look the same size. kt

Welcome to TP, see we are in same state.

Is this the valve system the Agri Supply may still but did sell? Just wondering how do you know the solenoid is working? Can you hear it or did you open an hose and see the fluid move through it? YOU BE CAREFULL if you send pressure to an open line, can really hurt you.

My guess is it is not hosed up correctly. My guess is where it connects is where the issue is. The one Agri Supply did sell has been a while since I looked at it but it was rather simple but with what you are saying think it has to be connected wrong into the tractors system.

I believe if you will do a search on the valve assembly itself again if the unit they sold you will find it on the internet and its instructions.

If you need a 100% sure check, jack the tire clear that is in question and rotate the valve stem to top and remove the core and slowly rotate the tire till the fluid begins to run out. But the frost or dew line to me is right accurate if both tires are in the shade or sun the same. kt

I think it is possible they used a different alternator due to trouble getting parts for the Long. Parts can be a real issue for them unless in the last few months it has changed. kt

Just wondering here: can you lift a point at the time with your tractor and block it up on say 2 by 4s and then slide it on them while on your trailer and it remain stable?

Not knowing the hoe's weight you be careful with using say a tree limb to lift from but have done that. I have used a simple come-a-long to lift just clear of the trailer and slowing drove out from under it. If need be lower air pressure but tree limbs will bow and snap. So can the cable on a come-a-long if over loaded.

I agree with toolate, there are more booms out there than you realize. At least haul it to one and have them reposition it on the trailer.

Now is not the time but learned a few years back, know how it will be unloaded before you load it. Same with planting a crop, know where you will sell it before planting it. kt
