My brother owned a business that used a few trucks. He bought Chevy totally and I think one reason was he was able to get fleet pricing from them. Now the dealership was almost his next door business and they each did a lot of business with the other.

Have son in law who works for our county and he drives a Ford. Not a luxury package but good for work. He told me what the price was and think it was about $15,000. That was a year or so back. Standard cab and short bed. Did have power steering, power brakes, auto trans and air.

If I had known how hard it was to get to tail light on Highlander not sure my wife would have one either.

We have been pleased with the life of our Toyotas but as a person who use to do their own service not pleased with the access on them. May be better than others but not as good as the last US vehicles we owned. Also been disappointed with 2 of our 3 to find out the size tires they had were NEW sizes and limited as to sources for them also. Makes me wonder how Toyota and their tire supplier are connected.

Pulled pickup out of bog. Then parked back under shed till it dries off. Before that use to level dirt with blade.

You should be able to find a replacement seat about anywhere that sells tractor supplies. Not a JD seat but one to fit.

I am puzzled by the comments of the $411 on a sharpener. What I saw the unit was a little over $109 and the burr (instead of a file)was 21.90 something.

Do check for bad ground early and before replacing any relay or switch. Spent a good bit on those to find out bad ground.

The more I know the more I realize more is lost when money goes through D.C. than in many times reaches those it is suppose to help. I would be glad to see our Fed Government get back to the real responsibilities it is suppose to and let the market handle the rest.

Jon, today as I was using one of my tractors thought on this thread and wondered about your comment of running it at or near the red line. When I read it earlier wondered then but today looking at my Kubota RPM meter the only red line is to show the rpm to get the 540 pto speed. If you are not running the full 540 pto rpm speed it can make a lot of difference with an implement made to run 540. I know with cutter dropping engine rpm say 300 rpms makes a major impact on the cutter.

There can be such a wide variance in the needs of the different lawn grasses and then the difference in the soils of an area I do agree with Murf need to do soil test even though don't do it real often. Agree with you the high nitrogen does not last as long as wished and seldom do put nitrogen on our lawn. When I do usually a light application so not a major swing. That being said hot weather lawn grass I don't think needs the nitrogen your colder climate grass does.

Then I go back to my young years with cows on pasture and we never fertilized it. Was that smart? It was not grazed heavy and held up well.

Not many around here. Only knowledge I have is friend who was expecting to be dealer for them has one and speaks well of it. Mostly used for mowing. He backed off of dealership due to what they wanted him to buy to place on yard is my understanding. That is also when the economy went down. That market is still down here.

Just as I submitted, this hit me: if you have never reversed rear tires on tractor be very careful. But sure you use two jacks to lift and then two supports under the rear end to prevent it pivoting on front axle when you jack it up if you remove both wheels at the same time. If you are able to just spin the wheel assembly around to get clearance do that.

How fast is your lift dropping? (Don't need time it.)
Is it dropping while the tractor is running or only when cut off?

If it is dropping while tractor is running and or doing so fast then I think the seals control valve or in the cylinder(s) itself are leaking.

You need to determine if it is leaking fast enough to cause any issue. If a real slow leak you make find no or little benefit to having it worked on. kt

How bad it can be not sure but of the two cases I am aware of both were in vehicles. Had employer once who filled her GM diesel with gas and it totally cut off. Had the gas drained and probably changed filters and don't think there was any other issue.
The other was my then Datsun diesel pickup and I put some gas into it before catching it as it was not a high ratio just finished filling with diesel.

Now if you want to know how a small gas engine runs with diesel can tell you..not well at all. Again suffered no damage still confused how that happened.

I am convinced we have no worst than we have elected to Federal office, with both labels. It is not just the laws they pass and then decide not to enforce or change the details of the law as with the Affordable Care Act (ie Obamacare) or Immigration or IRS or EPA.

It is also the normal laws we send people to prison for yet due to their office they are at worst not relected and how they play the game of insider trading to make millions.

It really is sicking. If we the people don't stand up and take the USA back it will soon be lost. kt

It has been years since I worked with welding inspection so may be off here, but it looks like right at a weld. If it is look for damage to the metal itself such as base metal being cut out with the welding itself and thus weakening it. Think it is called undercut and should be easy to see with paint off of it. At same time the metal may had a weak area there and it just took time for it to flex enough to break.

I suspect the shock loads that frame gets is more from driving over rough road then digging would be.

It sounds like you have leak around the front drive shaft then are you sure it is hydraulic oil? Could it be the oil has to get hot to be thin enough to leak? Have you checked your hydraulic oil level to be sure not over filled?

Well a few days before Christmas there was two local places that refill the 20 pound tanks here doing so for about $6 if memory is correct. Other places said that is about what the gas cost. They were directly across from each other and had a price war going on. I am not aware of any issue with propane here and no idea on what we paid when our tank was filled about two months back.
