I find some of the things they have to be interesting. Did not find videos long enough. The roll over moldboard plow was neat.

Did notice the amount of spray in the air on the sprayer video and it seems much more than have ever noticed with a sprayer before. Was it due to tips, pressure, height of boom or just watching it carefully?

Much has improved with seals and such since but oh 40 years ago Ford farm tractors had such a problem with this farmers could not use them to cultivate. Now these were one row cultivators weighing less than 300 pounds normally. Couple of ideas were used and to this day one still carries on that that is wheels on large implements and take all weight off of the lift other than transportation. Ford had developed a tolerance like so many hiccups per minutes was considered acceptable and no idea now that number but for real life work was too many.

However that does not help you with your JD does it. Since the Ford issue have always heard it is a seal somewhere as Murf discussed. At same time it was mentioned this happened with fluid low so may be the system's pickup is high enough if fluid is very much low it is sucking some air and may even do so on grade if fluid is not even low or not much low.

That ole Ford is still in the family and while I no longer use it still that lift jumps.

You maybe be right on the problem but to me an electrical issue will cut it off sometimes and not just stall it. I would look at the full service they did and be sure fuel filter is tight and not leaking air, nothing is in air system such as piece of plastic and being sucked over intake and then dropping off or trash in fuel tank. Check and be sure fuel does not have water in it.

A big guess on this end but suspect there is a bolt from underneath or behind it you are missing. Unless it is rusted in place.

As to front weight, it is not recommended to fill front tires. Not sure the reason but not recommended. Some farmers here mount a sprayer tank on the front of their tractor for two reason, tank is off lift and for counter weight. Depending on you can use weights other than those made for it and think you will end up doing do for price reasons as you might can find some older weights for low price. Have heard of people even using old exercise weights.

Frank, I had an Uncle and Aunt who moved in to such a set up a few years back. It was great. He was free to visit and help others as he heart felt desire had been for years. He really found his ministry. One of the most impressive places this county boy has ever been.

I would not be surprised to learn there is a special handle for these valves. I suspect they do not put handle on for safety to prevent a child or such from opening it.

Not the biggest fan of Consumer Reports in the world but found on autos a good source where they show the real owners experience. They gather than annually and show how major areas are in many models to cost of repair and such. Learned when there was a problem with a model there to really stay away. Has worked well for me.

I bought a Dodge Dakota about 92 and had great service from it as I avoided the auto transmission due to those reports. Must has failed to check it when I bought full size Dodge about 5 years later. Oh well I have owned two Dodges, one very good and one very bad. Or my first and my last.

Have you check to be sure air intake system is clear? No insects or mice nest in there over the winter?

No idea if your tractor in addition to the normal electric cut off has a manual pull (normally) cut off but if so be sure it has not been pulled by accident.

I have read back through all you comments and stumped.

If read all correctly you had replaced the glow plugs more than once.
Each set has done about the same, burn out first time used.
They are only getting voltage designed for (12 volts).
You tried install switch to be sure power was cut to the plugs and not coming on while running. Test that even with head light and it cut off proving power was off. (Bulb was still working right and had not burned out?)

A couple of more questions: have all the glow plugs been the same part number? Are they coming from the same parts source? Are they all the same brand? Have you looked very carefully (even with magnifying glass) for physical damage to them when pulled out? Are you sure you are not some how damaging them when installing, such as socket cocked at angle or tightening them to (if possible) where they crack).

If this has happened say with three sets doubt you have been stuck in a bad batch of glow plugs. But would start with being 100% sure have the correct glow plugs. It is not impossible incorrect ones were even installed at factory. It is not impossible there is a mistake on part number where you are buying them or even in the material they have.

May I suggest you do a search for the engine in your tractor and see if you can find parts break down giving the specs on the glow plugs from Mitsubishi itself?

Now I mention something an mechanic told me a few years back about spark plugs and have had it to happen on small engines . If they get flooded it can kill the spark plug. Well diesel fuel and gas are not the same and spark plug and glow plugs are not either. But wonder if they are getting soaked with diesel (or starting fluid) before the engine fires could that some how short them out? No idea.

Verify the proper glow plugs is what I would do first.

I am assuming a good bit here.
Is the wheel horse implement designed to be lifted for transportation or to roll on the ground?

If not designed to be lifted then just pin it to tractor draw bar. If draw bar is too thick or holes to far in take say half inch piece of metal and drill and bolt twice to draw bar with one hole to pin the implement behind the bar.

If designed to lift then same as above but use chain for third arm (many cutters use this design to allow the cutter to follow rolling land). Then you can either have two pieces of metal such as angle iron cut to length and drilled to bolt the tongue of the implement and they then pin or bolt to the draw bar towards the ends to prevent it swinging. You could use chains there also. The tongue supports the weight and the chains stabilize if.

As small and light as these sound to be think you would find three chains, one for third arm and two one on each side to draw bar as stabilizers would be very sufficient.

In reading the others recommendations and all great one thought came to my mind..and Chief covered it but look at fuel carefully. Something beside "clean" diesel may be in there. Might have been a mix up on what was last put in there or could be contaminated fuel.
