Art, I thought there was a problem with the fuel pump. In Tank electric pump on GMC truck. Pulled it and he had replaced the pump but had open splices in the tank. I had asked about the fuel gage not working and he said it never had. Turned out the gage float was missing also. When I shared with a mechanic friend of mine on the open splices you could see the fear on his face as he asked where is the fuel tank...oh below the drivers seat under the cab. I know gas does not conduct electricty but you know when the gas is low there are fumes in there and it one of those splices had sparked..oh well would not be in one piece I doubt.

That was when my brain said to my heart you messed up. Patch job.

Tractors will pans are used here but not for major digging. My guess no more than three feet. The biggest tractors I am aware of in this area are maybe the biggest JDs, pulling two pans digging with one at the time. Do think it has a lot to do with water level here. Am aware in some areas they can build ponds with bull doziers but again our water level here I guess is reason we did our ponds.

If you will do a search you will find 2 or 3 auction sites for tractors. Search prices on sold models for certain but that is a good way to get a wide idea on prices. I have two Kubotas but not familiar with that model.

No idea on the light but you sure no water in the fuel? Even with new filter could have water. Is the filter bowl clear? If so you should be able to tell if water is in there by looking. But any doubt check it.

I would say you will find it on bigger Kubotas as my M series does. Our B 2710 series has basically a turn buckle on the right lift that does the same purpose and no doubt cost less but must remember to tighten the jam nut or it moves. I agree it is not as easy and the style you asked about but it is more compact and certainly less expensive. It may be a simple pull two pins change also.

sass, you could have a bad switch. Not same model and probably not same seat by my wife and daughter neither have any issue with the seat switch on our B2710.

I try to fill my new filter before installing them if possible as that helps with having to bleed the system.

I leave near Myrtle Beach. First time I was in the Greenwood area was amazed as the difference in trees and grass there. Much cooler weather types than here. Boy when you moved you moved. LOL

My understanding alfalfa does not do well here for an insect I think that will can be in our tempature here that will kill a horse. No idea on other animals but have been told that by nephew who has horses and I think one hay farmer. Am certain my nephew has told me that and he has hauled alfalfa two states away from cooler weather for that reason.

If it is always like this my guess is linkage issue. No idea if this tractor has any linkage out side of the tranmission or not.

Mike not sure on your question. The "shreader frame" is this on the tractor or an implement?

I think you are asking on an implement and if understand correctly they have pins turned out and in and then the other set up where there are two arms and the lift arms fit between and pins pushed in. No one is right and others wrong, depends on the implement and the tractor.

A thought hit me on your experience. If Kubota gave you the old fuel cap you may wish to place it on the tractor when not using it to help prevent theft. It stolen with it at least they will need help to find issue and mabye it gets found that way. Odd items can foil theft better than a good lock.

On fittings some are pressure fit only (machine finish to machine finish) and others are threaded only. Be sure on threaded you use teflon tape properly. Might be okay with dope if careful but I prefer tape.

If you don't have set of metric good time to be looking for them.

Does the tractor have any other hyd on it? If so when the lift stops do they work?

Then maybe it is like the pump in our goldfish pond outside. Clean the filter and turn it back on and the pump runs but often will not suction water. Un plug it for just a few seconds and plug back in and it works.

When this happens how are your rpms? Low, high? Have you tried varying them and see if it makes any difference?

First sorry about your Father's passing.

Look around the transmission/rearend combonation for a filter. Not sure on MF but it may be an extrernal or internal filter. Look for say a 2 inch plug with place for wrench just in case internal fiter made to clean and renstall.

Manual is good but if you stop by MF dealership they should be able to tell you.

Do you have load on tractor such as mower or pulling something or just the tractor driving?

If just tractor there seems to be issue but if you have a load on it and also trying to drive in high range could you just be overloading it?

If you just purchased it have you done such as air filter and fuel fitler change outs? If not I would start there. Be certain air intake is clear of any blockage such as nest.

Also, no brake set on it is there?

I agree with comments on all brands but boy this sure would cause me doubt to NH if looking for tractor today. At same time have nephew who has NH my guess about same size and I have used it myself and it was great to operate but was moving loose dirt and he mostly uses for moving things for his horses so light life.

Guess to me it would seem a brand might want to post a suggestion on such an issue even if their honest research pointed totally to abuse. At least might help prevent another.

One thing I have noticed as the hitch size increases normally you find more options in lift arms such as telescoping arms or more quick hitch options. Makes since for while you may move a light landscape rake in Cat 1 size that 1,000 plus piece different story.
