jeff, a long shot but contact the seller. It may be someone who was bidding on it stole it. Sure would think they would not be dumb enough to put it right back on ebay.

If you just purchased it, ask your property insurance company if they have like 30 day coverage on such a purchase and depending on how you paid for it there could also be some coverage there.

Who was hauling it? If a hired company they should be liable. hope you well. kt

bvance, so they can not use ztr mowers there to mow with since they have less traction by far than does a tractor in 2 wheel drive does. We have a slope we mow that must run about 25 degrees and when it is wet our ZTR can not climb it but our B 2710 with 72 inch rfm will run right up it in 2 wheel drive. It is covered with grass very well and will be soft also. Our mowing season runs about the same as yours but realize you have more rain fall. The B 2710 has R 4 tires on it and it may leave some impression when soil is wet but not as much as mower's wheels do.

It would seem if the tractor tires leave as much an impression as is said, you must use a mmm and have the weight of the mower off of the smaller tires of a rfm and on the tractor tires.

No doubt I have a low price air grease gun but it is dangerous. The sound it makes is the same regardless of whether it is pumping grease or not. You can think you have pumped such as a mower spindle and no grease was pumped due to being empty or such. But it sounds the same so I don't use it on such as cutter spindles. It is a Sears air gun. Took the first one back and the second did the same. No idea on other air great guns. kt<br>

You probably need to use high temp in those spindles any way. Ask.

Lloyd, reading Ken's suggestion brings a thought, depending on what you have on this land in the line of trees will affect what kind of equipement and offer you get. But if there is enough for a chipper to be brought in those crews at least here leave a clean job site as they want ever piece of wood. Regardless the front blade on a skidder can push the big stuff up, not as well as a bull dozier maybe but better then a fel will. Just package it that way. kt

Not saying Maytag did not have good appliances but I have used almost totally the Whirlpool line who bought Maytag and owns many others. They have been top notch for us. If you read many reports on quality of home appliances you see many of the high price brands out there have more problems than the old, lower price name you have known for years. kt

Murf, many years ago I saw a house some where in Canada that had a southern facing glass wall. It was a double panel design with a few inches between the panels. They used styrofoam beads between the panels with a vacum system to move them. On sunny days them pulled them out and let the sun in, if not a heat gain they moved them back to insulate the wall. I thought that was very neat. kt

PM; There are cams in the hub of the driven sheave that sometimes just get sticky from dirt, etc. If I remember correctly you can see the cams in sort of triangle openings in the hub on the sheave half that slides in and out on the hub. With the engine off and the transmission in neutral spray some solvent, (WD-40 or the like), in the triangle slots while rotating the sheave till it gets worked in good. So far this hasn't been a problem on my XVU, but the HPX and the 4X2 I owned pror the the XUV neede a spray of solvewnt once in a while. Frank.

You know with the concern from hurricanes this area is given by the national media I probably have had more trees down such as you did than from hurricanes.

Murf, I think I have the concept, but where does the water go after running throught radiator? Is it pumped back into the ground? Is this not basically a geothermo (now if FAT FINGERS spelled that correctly it was an accident EW) set up? Pictures?

On a different note thought of you and such yesterday Murf. Was cutting along a ditch and thought of my first question at TP and your reply. Bout the same as this. May be now a few years later ready to tackle it due to needs growing and a piece of equipment I had on loan returned. A side mounted cutter. kt

Murf, it has been a while since I sold property insurance but can not remember the question on who owns a proprane tank being asked. It could be new, it could be more of an issue where proprane is more common than here. Big tanks are not very common here as most heat here is electric heat pumps.

Will quickly agree if the tank were to fail you would prefer it to be rented. The damage possible could cause could be more than your property even if the tank itself did not explod as WW questioned. WW, was your tank hit or something else? It would seem if the tank was leaking and on fire you could not turn it off.

You would be surprised at some claims due to such. Had a Claims VP teach a class a few years ago and she used examples of claims in her teaching. Some were so funny. kt

Yep, those horses have the ability to leave it much more green as they water and fertlizer along the path they travel. There is a certain satisification from working with animals no machine can match. Murf, do you sing those mule skinner songs to them as they pull or something else?. At the end of the job do you get to give them a kiss or a hug and ride off into the sunset as the old cowboys did? I would not doubt depending on the job site you can do more with them than a machine or at least leave the woods no worst for being there. kt

Not sure on any of the numbers on our Gator but when we bought it the dealership very much suggested larger than the normal tires on it. Have no idea if the rims were the same or not as it was all changed before we got the gator. I will say sure am glad he made that recommendation. kt

Not throwing off at any brand of tractor for anything man made has enough problems. But boy reading how many people have problem after problem with some of the legal products, it must be a nightmare with a Grey Market or do those people just undertand there is no or at very little support. Nah, it does not register I am sure unless they have been there before. I looked at one a few years ago and it took a while for it to fully register what all was being given up to buy a Grey Market.

One point I don't understand on the Grey Market, how so many people from a low income area can afford to trade tractors often enough there is such a supply to sell in the US and at so low a price. kt

It would seem a dealership and the company service tech would between the two know what is proper and what is not proper. You said you have 25 years experience as certified automotive mechanic so it would seem you would also know something in the mechanical world at same time you said the dealership (think it was the dealership) told you there were four with the same problem. Looked carefully at the wording you said was used: everything was to spec, that may not mean he did any kind of "road" test. It is possibly something tested proper on pressure or clearance or such and just does not work under load. If it would not start due to corroded battery terminals sure seems they did not run it to check or test anything.<br>

I would doubt another dealership would want to now look at the tractor. However if they would it might help.<br>

Try to track down the others and find out how their tractors are. If may be the four together have much better chance. I have a friend who considered suing a auto dealership and was told the only way her case stood a chance was to gather others into that had the same issue with the dealership to prove it was not just her. Hope you well. kt<br>

Does the dealership you purchased from sell any other brand? If so ask them on a trade and if they give any down side to your tractor ask them how that is possible since they and Mahrinda have both said it is to specs. Again ask, might be you need that recorded or a friend with you for the deal making conversation. <br>

Just wondering the reasons for the attitude by the Manufacture. Could it be if they are shown to support machines which do not meat our safety standards, in court that support might be seen as condoning the use of those machines, making them liable for any injury that could come from such lack of safety equipment or warnings as required by US or Canada�s laws. <br>
