I wanted to put metal siding/roofing on my shop and run it horizional to sort of look like boards. My wife said politly no. So, it is vinyl. My guess the point about keeping it clean is due to the little ledges the ribs will give you for the dust to settle on. Found out the other day working on leaf blower, they are great on dust and such in shop. Bet most of you'all knew that.

Bill, if the sound is an issue only when you are in the shop or outside working...they make a nice headset with radio built in. Sells for between $50 to about $100 depending on the brand and such. Cuts out their noise and give you something you may like. Sure did enjoy mine until my wife happened to use them.

I have a 2004 Tundra Access cab. The Goodrich's were only good for picking up road trash putting holes in my tires. A tire dealer happened to mention the Goodrich were bad for that. He said he had no idea why and did not know I had 3 tires to have such flats.

Not sure on the 2000, but mine per local Toyota dealership is very senstive to the tires. Air pressure and the whole line. Per him the specs on what will vibrate my pickup is much less than the tire industry specs (per two tire dealerships). I fought vibration for about 3 months with trips to two tire dealerships and one service station that sells tires to be told the tires are fine and the Toyota dealership told me real quick the tires you have are out of spec for that pickup. Wish I had bought Michelin. But those French...

I really would talk with the service dept and ask them on tires they recommend, wish I had.

At first thought the action of the disk pushing dirt seems like what it will do, but that is not correct. Unless you have totally flat blades. All disk blades I am aware of are concave and even straight will lift dirt. At same time there are lots of tools sold for the very use that have solid spikes to "push" holes into the ground (there are some that have flat disk blades also). They sure don't remove any dirt. At same time I have no idea if they do or do not work.

If you are wanting to get it ready to plant grass seeds, a landscape rake can do a good job to "rough" up the lawn for overseeding.

You may have seen it but Michelin has a new tire design that does not use air. Makes me think of the old steel trator rims.<br>

I wonder how well they will hold up to say a long snake crawling into the tire or a stick or such. No doubt they have tested that.

It is interesting all the info and even tv shows on this. We have a little open farm land split in locations with woods and deer there. As woods are being cut down for houses they are getting pushed more and more. I have been surprised how little we have lost to deer. When we planted a winter garden the first in a few years deer concerned us but we have lost almost nothing to them even with foot prints in the garden. One of our garden crops was same planted for food plots in woods. The garden area does get night light and our dog does walk through it once in a while.

I bought some different lower price items over the years but the simplest and best one I found is a piece of wood with holes drilled at the proper angle to place the cermanic stones in. THey form a "V" and you hold the knife vertical and just pull it through. Of course it is for touch up, but that is what most of the time our kitchen knives need. When you do get them sharp, keep them out of the dishwasher and a loose drawer. Oh yea, like that is going to happen.

EW, if that is the Allied you are talking about and my memory is correct Nationwide bought that company about 98 or so. Nationwide at that time was mainly east of the Miss. River and Allied mainly west of the river. I understand Nationwide gutted Allied. From having sold Nationwide for a while, I lost respect for them when I handled them proof they had an agent breaking the law (state, federal and securities) and they told him, "Don't do it again." There are some good people with Nationwide but that told me a lot about the CEO and top people for they were aware of the case. They were the ones who decided to not report it (by law they are suppose to report such) and tell him don't do it again.

There could be more to them not happy with you being there than the location. It could be they are not license in that state, it could be the distance you are from your "home base", it could be it should be handled by an office in that region.

I like our snow also. No doubt EW will also when he finds out in our part of the world snow means HOLIDAY. Stay home and off the roads. I like our snow about every 6 years myself.

Sort of reminds me about the 6 year old asking the 65 year old in the desert if it rains often. To which he replied, don't know, only 65.

Justus, is it possible the WIX filter has an anti flow back valve that requires pressure to open?

EW, I did not end up doing the NASCAR drive myself but it did work. Put another family member in the oval and I moved the dirt for him to level. SORRY, I didn't go in CIRCLES. ;) But the method did work.

I know codes vary from county to county often but you probably would have to have engineered plans here. Only if you could sell it as a FARM building would you not have to. Then problem if you ever sold the place.

EW is correct at least your insurance agent has some ledway and what matters with an insurance company(ies) can vary wildly and quickly. (Hurricanes are a great example here.) Sometimes the reason an insurance company does not seemed concerned is because there is no or very limited coverage for a certain area and you don't realize it. Some companies will cover damage done by a water leak over time while others do not as an example.

I would want to compare the cost of building your second floor to hold the weight you want it to and the cost of the lift system and the issue of having to move it to the loft and such to a lean too shelter or such. When we went to build our current house we had plans for part of it to be two stories. When the builder got through with all the cost that caused I learned second floors are to save yard space. At least here. I have a friend who said where he grew up they taxed only ground floor so all houses had full basement and at least two floors.

Consumer Report to me proved good when they report on owned and used machines such as autos. Not as great on new and them only tested. But, I have not looked at them in years.

Without a doubt price does not mean a better machine. Might be more bells or trim. Then it may mean a better cabinet or heavier motor. Now ask the big box people why the price or feature difference and a deer in the headlights.

A few years ago we built and installed a double oven and separate cook top. Could have purchased two free standing stoves for much less money with the same features and had an additional cook top. Reason given, the manufacture knows a person that wants a double oven will pay for it. My thoughts, when you get away from the standard, you always see the price jump. This is so in most products or industries.

I realized years ago, if considered a necessity we price shop and feature shop carefully. If a luxury item, higher priced is bragged on!

I have had one sister if not two who had similar problems and it turned out to be gallbladder. They have a procedure where they do it as an out patient with very little body cutting. You will be up in no time.

I have been told rapid weight loss helps cause gallbladder problems. So good reason to take weight loss reallll slllloooowwww.

I realize a lot of changes have happened, the only dry brakes I have had experience with never lasted nor seemed to fully release. Could have been due to being old and springs loosing tension.

Interesting point on the diff. not being centered possibly affecting wear.

If you have not seen videos 1, 2 and 3 by John Deere on their tractors you probably would very much enjoy them. They are done for children so you will have no problem understanding them :).

Video 4 is a summary of those, so don't buy it. Great Christmas gift for your spouse. You can sit with softdrink and popcorn in front of the fireplace and share a romatic video.

Hoped but did not solve my Zone Alarm issue, still causes some problems. Hoped the new server might solve it. The problem seems to be Zone Alarm and can not get it set to like TP all the time or some other sites. The new server does seem slightly faster.

Per my companies they (junk faxes) are illegal. You don't have to OPT out, rather you have to OPT in. You are not to fax soliciting business to a non customer without a signed authorization. I think some companies play with the law by writing the fax trying to make it look like it is being sent to their branches and somehow it just hit your fax number. I do think sending faxes that provide info and no solicitation for business may be legal.

Talked with a company who tried to sell us using them to send faxes. Said they were in another state and you had to sue in the state it was faxed from, so they did not send within their state. We would be safe since we contracted for the end result and the action was theirs. Did not feel comfortable with that.

Sort of think some of this is done to try and boost the Post Office income.
