If I am understanding you, you are trying to slip pipe over the current pins to get the needed length for the wider spacing.

I think if the pipe fit, it would be a problem waiting to happen JUST as soon as a load was placed on it.

I would think any pins the length it seems you need them to be would have a hard time holding up to the load (also their mounts on the equipment). That being said, you may be able to find grade EIGHT bolts the diameter and length you need and use them by cutting the head off. Again, I don't think this is a good nor safe idea.

My frst suggestion would be to have mounts welded on for the proper width.

Coverage on tractors and such varies a lot from one compamy to another and from one state to another. Once you get past a homeowner lawnmower you best be asking. At same time most homeowners cover more than most people think but also have limits on certain items as guns, jewerly and lawnmowers. If you are using the equipment for hire or just you own use will affect some companies. You really need to be honest when you are asking, omit it is used for hire and you may find no coverage for a loss as normally they will check it out. Depending on what you are doing with it, be sure you are covered for liability.

Earthworks brought up a very important point and that is image of a business.

Keep an eye out for someone (with tractor at least the brand) you are considering and ask them about the service and such they are getting. Take into consideration how they are using or not using it compared to how you will. How hard and how often.

You want to be sure parts are there when you need them. I have friends that bring up that on some of the non main brands. That is also true for your cutter and other equipment.

A way I found that works for me, find a dealer with two different brands, ask their experience between the two. Most are honest.

On the humor side, many of us understand Earthwork and his "blue" feeling. Sadly it is blue for a reason. ok, just kidding. Without a doubt in the construction market it is probably more than 50% Kubota HERE. Could be 75%. A mixture of green and blue being most of the balance. A few Kioti and very few of anything else. With small farm or homwowner tractors, more green and blue than orange.

I always wonder about those drivers who pull right in front of a loaded trailer and often to stop. All drivers ought to be required to drive on empty highway a load about like yours to learn respect not for the person pulling it but the lack of ability he had to control it.

I know a local dealership and he told me in the years (I think it was about 10) they have sold Farmtrac they have yet to go into an engine. That being said I have a friend who had a problem getting some kind of relay for a 2 year old. Not sure why that was. The hyd capicity use to be on the low side. It is my understanding they are or were the Long tractor.

I have used 4 or 6 inch of the drain pipe under a house drive way for a few years with no problem. It was buried no more than 1 foot. Now, there is no heavy equipment or freeze problem either.

Our DOT is using double wall corrugated drain line for driveways here with it being buried from about less than 1 foot to a few feet. There are from about 18 inches to 30 inches in diameter and they seem to hold up very well. Understand different class of pipe here.

If you don't crush it installing it such as has been covered earlier I think you will be fine unless you have some kind of vibrating load moving slowly or sitting on it.

At same time pipe very much like that is used for field lines in septic systems and not buried that deep with different loads over them at least for grass cutting.

I am confused by your comment it was referring to my last post. Either I am mising something which is highly possible or back to slow southerner.

I know there is much that can be done safely if you take it slow and easy. Along a line I grew up with, there is more than one way to skin a cat. Not that I ever understood why anyone would skin a cat. I think that fits with moving dirt and using blades.

FYI there is a Castro oil. Try about 2 tablespoons and it will give you reason to move quickly and not in circles...unless hunting for a place to land! LOL

Did you miss the point we have a lot in common with Fidel; we both were attached by the US Fed Gov, we both grow tobacco, we both have a lot Spanish speaking people, northern liberals like it here and want to tell us how to do it. and we neither care how they do it up North! LOL

I was very fortunate with the first tractor salesman I traded with. A real professional. I was about totally green and he would not really talk tractor until I had a frim idea on what I wanted to do with it. Then we talked equipment to do that and worked backwards to the horsepower and tractor needed for the equipment.

I think Hardwood has you covered but many states have a publication by their Dept of Agriculture with ads in it. You probably can search your State's Dept of Agri web site and find it. Often you will find people who offer such services in there.

Have you check to see if air pressure is the same and have you checked the tires on such as concrete with a tape and not just trusting your eye sight?

I know sitting on the ground and eye sighting for my larger tires is not accurate.

As to what any county thinks of the USA, it may not be necessary they like us but it sure is they respect us. That can be for more than one reason or it can only be for one. Sadly there are those who don't understand or don't care, I have no idea which. Don't think the Soviet Union ever liked us, but think they did respected us.

You hit on a major contribution to some of these problems, the people selling the product have no idea what they are selling or there is no sales person, just labels (hey get the paint department guy to tell you about the mower or washer or whatever). In some business all the sales person is there for is to close the sale, not to help the customer make the best decision.<br>

When people are given incomplete information, they can depend on the price being given, so they use that to make the decision. At the same time if say Maytag was designed for 20 years they would be willing to put that in the information it would help some to understand the value. Yet that 20 years would be hard to publish that way as there are many variables as 20 years for a single adult is one thing where 20 years for a house with 10 children another world. Guess they could tell how many loads it life cycle would be. <br>

Whirlpool is one company who has different product labels and the sales people will quickly tell you this machine is made by Whirlpool. But is it the same machine as the one with their name on it? Who knows, not the person in the box store, maybe the guy in the appliance store? Then throw Michelin in there also. Their have their name on a tire ONLY for the manufacture that has no life, but it looks good on at the dealership. Wonder if Michelin has had a back lash over this?<br>

Have you noticed the way ZTR mowers are rated for amount they will cut per hour? Some companies use the full cut times the max speed. I am not that good when it comes to mower operation. That was one thing that impressed me about my brand, they gave the numbers that way for the wacky number crunchers and then say they believe 80% or something along that line was more real life. <br>

Sorry for your experience but thanks for sharing it. If you were like me growing up I was often barefooted around those electric fences so great ground contact. Might be why I don't go barefooted outside now. BTW, children have curly hair? LOL

The black wire being opposite with AC and DC has caused more than one dangerous situation.
