I think I understand what you are saying. So of what value is the second edge being sharpened? If you install is so that edge is the cutting edge the bevel would be down.

The diamond pattern that earthwrks referred to would you suggest it on plows also or is that a different patten. I have been told if you run the weld the wrong direction it really creates a drag. Of course no idea was given on what is the proper direction.

If you will look at a post from just a week or two back you will find where a person pressure washed their tractor and had problems with relay(s).

There is also the lower pressure garden hose and of course you can back away from it with the presssure washer.

Power Trac video is what really got me wondering about this. I realize their tractor is designed differently at to no pto rather I think hyd oil operated attachments.

The thought of a engine on the mower would seem to be a good option.

It just seems that some body would have looked at and built this already.

The success of a file over a grinder I don't beleive is due to the difference in tempature. I think it has to do with the fact you are sharpening the total angle of the edge. By taking a small hand held grinder I am able to lay the wheel on it the same as a file and it give very good results. I find my edge holds up about the same as the factory edge. This for me is impossible with a bench grinder.<br>

I think you will find the factory edge is often cut with milling machine. Could be flooded with cutting fluid or not while being milled.<br>

I found out yesterday Oregon is a large manf of replacement blades. Went to their web site and they give very good instructions on how to sharpen chain saw chains and how to break them in and such but I failed to find anything on lawnmower blades. Which I took to mean either they don't know or they assume we all know how to sharpen a blade.

Take your experience and develope a washer and dryer for CUTs that will not short circuit them. There is a need based upon threads here.

Very serious, have you taken what you were/are doing and thought about it in relationship to CUT's and their owners and a possible need?

I will add to earthwrks dumb question, my remote hyds quit Saturday while disking...but my busted hose was easy to find.

If I understand your problem you have more than one cyl not working so it would not seem to be a cyl issue.

Does JD use the same hyd pump for steering as the remote hyd?

Is it possible your hyd oil was low and got enough air in it before you topped it off to cause a problem?

Is it possible you have a crimped line on their circuit?

I thought Ford designed the hiccups into their old tractors. It was so common a company here built slides for farmers to use on their crop cultivators to keep them at stable height.

As to the hiccups since you replaced the hyd filter, have you checked your fuild level?

I am not familiar with your chipper but some with the Ford 3000. It is hard to believe if you are using a normal pto shaft to connect the chipper and unless you really do something greatly out of line, there would be any problem on the tractor end.

That tractor model has run a many an offset rough cut mower in my part of the world and the shaft runs at a sharp angle on that.

Now, will the bearings on the chipper handle the same angle? I don't know. But, can you not adjust your lift and stablizers to have the pto shaft in a straight alignment?

The banking industry has a lot of room for improvement.

A friend of mine had a business check stolen from the mail box. His business and bank are in South Carolina. THere were about a dozen fake checks written in Florida on his account and honored by his bank. None with the correct business name, bank name or even state for such. The numbers on the check itself were the only thing read.

If you think the thumb print is safe per police it is very easy to defeat that.

With the fraud in so many areas we are hearing and you will hear more on an identification system that is fool proof. You will also find it addressed in 13th chapter of Revelation in the Bible.

If your casting is like most I would think you are find to use the helicoil. I have see them use to hold grade eight bolts.

If I might add to what Murf said, it also is affected by what kind of load you are pulling. Some loads are harder to turn than others.
