Great photos only problem that is not a mount for a 4400 or 4410 or 4300. There should be no clearance issues with a JD 47, 48 or the newer models mounts. The MMM should fit fine. I do recall a post about mowing with the BH installed years ago. But I can not find it.

I forget what the cost is for the JD front mount. IT IS PRICEY! That said: I am not sure the blower would stand up to frozen packed snowbanks. It is a very nice blower if you use it for blowing unpacked and unfrozen snow. I would use a very heavy guadge with 3/16 or 1/4 metal thru out for anything heavy packed or frozen.

My next tractor will have JD front mount, Cab a/c heat etc. thats the way to move snow.

Is it frozen (not with ice) where the shaft crosses thru the tractor or where it enters the differential?

If it the shaft that goes thru tractor has it been greased? If not start there with 1 pump of grease and start working the pedal. You might even try remove zerk and fill with penetration oil and grease. If its at differential try a penatration oil and work the shaft from the bottom.

We call em Snowbanks. I would not bother with a single stage blower no matter how cheap.

Start on the side of the pile and start pushing it back out of the way.

I've got back blades with alot of "engineering" done to it and I've found for all but the lightest of snow the blower is the way to go. I refuse to handle snow 2 or 3 times. I do not have the time to fool with it.

Yup I can do a quickie with blade a couple of times but the blower comes out to move it permenant. Pushing and pushing and re pushing makes no sense to me. Been there and done it!

Watched a clip the other day with a REAL WHACK JOB EXPERT FROM GREENPEACE. Yes it is for real these cold temp's and snow are a result of global warming.

I glad these guys are soooooooooo smart! I a dumb country boy. What I can't figure out is: We've been warming for the last 15,000 years ever since the last ice age. I wonder what man has done for the 14,500 preceeding the industrial ages of man to cause this?

Maybe it was Flatuant dinasors? What about flatuant whales? Now they wanna tax farmers for cows. IT WILL NEVER END WITH THOSE WHACK JOBS.

I forgot! Usually the tire is pretty well worn out also.

I would expect 20,000+ winter miles if you do a lot of pavement driving many more miles if snow/ice packed roads.

You are right Frank I remember the gas stations trying to do it. It was ok if tires new but once used forget it. I think the early studs were not the best options.

The newer carbide studs are great for wear.

I'll try to remember to post again in March when these come off as to what I think about them.

Ken I think the OEM from there where $80+ for chev. I got the knock offs.

What does the dealer/tire book say about rotating tires. Until I did some reading I also believed I had to go to dealer. Not saying that not the case with yours. Also I'd check with the tire installer.

I was raised on game for the must part. Today I will not eat anything that comes from the "insides".

Do not care much for venison, rabbit or squirrel anymore either. But do eat venison speedies and jerky and other stews, now and then.

But do remember skinning out a bunch of woodchucks and dragging them to my brothers house. (I was home on leave) I figured some woodchuck speedies would be a great grilling experience. She threw me and the woodchucks out.

The 504 utility I got out of a hedgerow had same problem. We swished gas around in it pulled out the bottom line drained out. Sediment bowl had to be cleaned a few times and after that it is working fine now. Keep tank as full as you can (helps prevent condensation) install a inline filter and use it.

Diesel is not going to go bad in 6 months, If stored in non galvanized containers. I would not worry about it. Sometimes adding a bunch of this and that is worse than what you r trying to prevent.

Greg correct on PS red typically goes directly into filter after wax build up. white goes in tank.

The best thing to add during winter if you r buying summer fuel is kerosene 25% or so we mix up to 50% for our heavy equipment. Mine at home is as high as 50% also and I park in heated area.

I've been doing long drives with 3ph blower for a long time. I just don't see the twisted neck thing. I've plowed, mowed, baled, chopped hundreds of acres over the years one eye on equipment one eye on row.

If money no object I'd have a winter cab tractor with a big heater in it and a big blower on front. Just because I get a little lazier and look for easier ways to do something.

But money says I use the most practical set up I can afford and the old rusty 2nd hand blower I bought from Art a few years ago serves the purpose well. Art it's still a awesome blower, Stored under cover summers and in by the wood stove during the winter.

Make sure you DEFLATE the tires prior to welding on rim. Better yet DEMOUNT the tires.

Keep the moisture as low as possible. Make sure the plate is clean, not rusty, and free of big nicks and dings. Sprinkle dry sand over the top of the clay.

Playing with muscle cars with mouse motors PORT AND POLISH anything that would hinder the smooth flow of air. The more efficient the air flow the more efficient the engine if I remember all that stuff correctly.<br>

But I do have several sets of magnets left over from the farm that if taped on the fuel line precicelly 2" from carburator they will change the molecular structure of the fuel giving a 25% increase in horsepower and result in a 15% mileage increase. I'll let them go for $50.00 a set.<br>

If you have a grease hose you might get that in there provided you have fittings to adapt. Will a hose on the front end loader work? If nothing else you could try a piece of tubing and a couple of hose clamps.

The tool in commonally called a pickle fork. You can get a hammer style or a pneumatic style. either will do the job. $10-$20 depending on quality.

Demo'ed a IS500Z with a 44" deck, had for 2 days. Wrote check for it today. I am impressed it go better up thru trees than old JD 112. It mow at rocket speed. Zip right around everything. Does not like to turn on down slope. Still have learning curve not to skid tire in turns.

I not know if should be bent or not.

I'd look at the angle of the tie rod end to the knuckle its attached to. I it is square to it I would leave it alone.

But that's me. Not fix if it not broke.

I agree with Murf Meant to send this this am but running late.

Also feel the selonid does it get HOT? It might not blow fuse but gett hot enought to lose it pull.

Does not usually happen like that usually a short and blow fuse. But with the interminiant working it make sense to me.
