Most use a old fridge, no cooling, with a light bulb on 24/7 to help keep humidity away.

Gotta agree eventually cold would soak thru and freeze stuff.

This thread seems to have changed into justifying the cost.

IMHO I do not care what the attachment costs. If I can do what I wanna do when I wanna do it is worth a lot to me. If I want my drive way done now it's done now. I do not wait very well for someone to do it for me.

As long as I am not invalid (yes spelled the way I want) I will do it my self if I have the ability. I still can't build a watch...

Frank you ain't taking a dime with you. Me I'm gonna let the kids fight over the toys. Buy what you want. Just be careful about dragging some tender young lady home and asking your wife if you can keep her...

EW None for sale all installed. The best one is in the mechanics truck. Try keeping track of one of those guys.

The systems have a thing called "GEO FENCING" You set a area and if the equipment is moved from that area a message goes out to/by phone, email, to law or a private person or you depending what arrangements you have made with the provider.

The systems are pretty cool to use.

I would think based on previous treads concerning security on/at job sites this would work on your large tool boxes and storage containers.

The FEDS are working on a plan to have permenant mounted devices on all tanker type trucks. These will message if they are tampered with in anyway or moved etc.

So the technology is there already for your small stuff.

Back in the olden days, Art you'll remember that :-), when the molboard tripped you stopped and backed up to reset. Today they have the spring resets and hydraulic resets. Never slow down at all.

The flip plows work real well on side hills when it is desireable to always turn the soil over up the hill especially on the strip fields.

Dennis I'd do that but most processor wood can oly be a certian max size and fairly straight grained.

I was setting up 3' plus maple blocks on their sides with tractor bucket and rolling by hand onto log lift. I had some of the snottiest 24" Maple I have ever tried to split and splitter would not start it thru a knot. Had to find a grain spot to start split. Have some 4+' popple to split. If it's wood I burn it.

I get a lot a nasty wood from various sources at no charge just so they do not have to haul it and pay dump fees at land fills.

Candoarms IMO a dual splitter would be a PITA. 2 guys, me and 30year son have all we can do to feed this thing. If you have a good engine and a good 30+GPM pump you will be in business. 3 guys would make mine very efficient.

My thoughts on design. top of beam mid way between knee and hip. NO BENDING. Log lift that will hold 300# with out tipping splitter. BIG split tray pan to hold split wood so 3rd person does not have to bend and pick up. And or a tappered chute up so split wood can go into a pile and keep pushing up and over not moving the splitter ahead. NEVER lift any block over 40#'s or so always roll. Small blocks I can set 4-6 on lift raise up level and go to work. Boy usually keeps it feed while I split and toss into wagon.

I run mine at about 1400 RPM ran 26 hours so far this year on just over 10 gals of fuel. I am guessing I'm only pumping 18 or so GPM because of RPM. But it's plenty fast.

Ken was hoping for a answer w/o going to JD. Oh Well!

Just got done with JD the new part is M810324 replaces M808284.

I damn near fell on the floor when I saw the price. $150 and change. I'll be dipped in ____ (the material that comes from the south end of a north bound mammal) before I pay that. I'll put a string and a push button on it before I pay that kind of money for a $12 part. Google will get a work out if I really want one. Otherwise I'll cut the back out and put a cable on it to open the flow.

Sorry can't help with your question. You'll have to look at your part # to tell. If it's like mine you won't see it because they painted over the tag.

I use the "SPLITTER" which in real knarley knotty wood tends to cut thru things also ripping and shreading the worst of the knarley. Did about 7-8 face cord last Sunday afternoon and all my waste would fit into a wheel barrow. (but that still goes into bags and into the outdoor wood furnace at Boys house).

I am glad you are on a mission. I'm just glad it wasn't me that took a leak in your bowl of Wheaties... :-)

Had to reserrect this old thread.

Selenoid on mine gave me a ass ache today. Usually wiggle the relay it would pull in. Of course it was parked 10 inches away from the wood pile. I looked like a monkey on a football getting the selenoid out so tractor would start so I could get it up by shop.

The selenoid had some oil in it but I can not believe there was enough to bother. But something prevented it from pulling in.

Did the selenoids get redesigned? Any other issues out there related?

The Meteror blower is a good solid consumer grade blower. They are built quite heavy actually, compared to others I have glanced at.

As Murf said just get enough to cover your rear wheels or a tad bit more.

I can't tell you about a 48" system. I had one years ago (not a meteror) on a 19hp it was a 3 blade fan very light weight CHEAPLY built. It did the job but just barely. But the key to a blower is BIGGEST 4 BLADE fan you can get. Also either hyd or electric chute rotator.

I have a 68" commercial blower now , Thanks Again Art, that blows better than a $2 hooker in a Naval Port. Heavy packed snow at Full throttle is 40+ feet. Heavy wet snow at full throttle 30+ feet.

As for looking back. I do not see it as a big deal. I have looked back watching machinery run ever since I was big enough to run ag equipment. Plowing, disking, planting, mowing, raking, baling, chopping... (now at work its back stabbers) Blowing snow out of my drive is a hour at best. With the scrapers and bucket it is over a hour. When I'm near the road head moves like a owl anyways looking for traffic.

But I do notice the neck does not come around like it used to. Its either age or the injuries. So the exercise is good for it.

I think many people try and keep the cylinders closed.

I store mine upright, spray some oil on the cylinders, tie all the hydraulics up with rope and throw a bikini tarp over the top to keep the bird poo off.

Usta B around here elevators in all of the larger chicken coops. I don't think they lifted 5000# at a time but I remember several bags of feed, carts and operator all on them.<br>

Edit in: You might look at the old gas station hydraulic lifts or maybe a newer unpside down hyd cable pulley arrangment.<br>

I've found with mine that changing direction (FWD/REV) causes excessive stress on the side wall load. I pick mine up and set back down each time I change direction. I really try to never use reverse when mowing.

The other problem I have had is the real cheap tires. Bought a bunch of tractor supply $4.00 tires mounted on rims. They would not stand any abuse. Back to good tires and tubes no problem this season, so far.

Kthompson Ebay just recently restricted anything firearm related from being advertised on Ebay. Paypay is a huge part of Ebay.

Usta B you could buy brass, bulletts, and many other things firearm related. NO MORE the liberals do not think it's right.

You can use WD40 as a starting aid. It provides lubrication to the top of cylinders.

It may get you going just make sure the hand throttle is wide open to allow max fuel flow to purge the system.

If it won't fire on ether it is a mechanical problem not fuel. It would not hurt to do all that other stuff also.

Does the valve train work? Remove valve cover watch the valves. Does it seem to have compression? Broken drive gear in the cam shaft/crankshaft timing train?

Even with a plugged intake or exaust enough ether should creep in to allow it to fire.

It's hard for me to remember when we got away from simple "POLE" barns/sheds. We were still building with 6"-8" at the top round treated poles in the mid 60's. Rough cut Hemlock, the trusses were built from 2x6 and scrap wood. Barn board siding with bats was always used. Steel was and still is the most expensive component.<br>

I had a little 1500 4wd (19hp 2 cyl) Ford for 13 years. Bought used in 87 with a new "lineabach" (spelling?) 3ph dirt scoop. I used it for everything. When landscaping or moving a lot of fill I pull it as a slip scraper and drive forward in circles all day. When using a dump truck load of fill I'd use it backwards and back into the pile of fill.

Trust me when I say I moved a lot of dirt with that little tractor. I put almost 4000 hours on it. This place was a swamp.

Make sure that your 3ph will lift high enough so when the scoop is tripped it will be able to rotate all the way and give you clearance enough not to dig into the fresh dumped dirt. Mine had 2 sets of holes to mount the pins lower on the scoop.

I had about 7" of clearance which helped spread and level the fill.

I can not find the specs for the B6200 so unless it is extreamly narrow you should be ok.

One thing you do not have to worry about in New York is the tax man with their hand out.

Businesses that do capitol improvements and maintenance have to justify to the state why they did not collect. It is all signed documents. That's why I said it is easier to tax than to try and justify improvements vs maintenance.

If you collected tax in NYS you are gonna pay it to the state. This state is extreamly greedy and is always looking for more.

RANT ON: These commies want to tax and catch people that barter.

This state really hates the internet and is working hard to collect sales tax on material being shipped into the state. RANT OFF:
