Sorry about the mix up on electric. Ours is about $145 per mo and I guess about $25 of that is for moving heat in the winter. Summer is around $100 per mo the other different is lights on longer.<br>

Ncrunch our taxes r-not bad We only pay around $3500 for both. They have me assessed quite high considering the neighbor hood. The only 2 that were higher for a sindle family on some non ag land are on Skeaneatlas Lake. That really frosts my butt.<br>

I do not feel to bad about our energy cost considering the size of the dump I live in. (Dump lots of money in therefore it's a dump).

New XM MyFi system to replace my CD player that tends to skip a lot B4 it finially gave up.

This has the built in antenna receiver and a small clip on antenna, besides the regular vehicle/home mounts. Gotta spend some time with it to check the receptions. The 5 hour record in very nice.

At the moment Mr. W Nelson, My Hero's have always been Cowboys is playing... CRYSTAL FRIGGIN CLEAR... It's a big step up for livin out in the sticks.

Generaly you can send the tracks out and have the pins turned, rather than buy new track. Depends how worn the growsers are if you need to replace them. The segments are not a big deal. But you might need a good hot wrench to do some of this work, in addition to a good 3/4 in drive sockets and HD air wrenches. ONLY use factory new fastners and TORQUE to specs.

Price a new track then price the components and the labor is all: size 3 hat, 54 jacket stuff.

I ran a 6' landpride with a side chute on my little 19hp Ford 1500 for 6-7 years. I had no problems as long as I took it easy.

The new 35hp tractor shredded the belt in less than 20 minutes hogging all the grass I could feed it.

More power is not always better.

The drive bys are usually using some type of emlusion. Talk to a "LOCAL" contractor.

1st they can look at the condition of your asphalt.
2nd they should have access to different sealer products from a local bulk supplier.
3rd they are some one you can grab by the neck if you need some satifaction.

We generally buy a generic sealer in bulk from a major supplier. However we have many different products that work in different applications.

I have a couple of long stories about driveby pavers and they include "SPECIAL MIX" for $100 a ton but since it was left over they can give you a price of $50 per ton cash. Our most expensive polymer modified mixes do not come close to $50 a ton.

After looking at the 3520 options I guess I'll stick with my 4400 and buy the Curtis cab for it.

JD does not offer the 3520 with a cab and std shift. They can only come with e/hydro, that's too bad.

Seats are cheap a new restoration complete Deere seat for those is less than $250.<br>

The full sized ag tractors are the way to go if you have the room to use them. The tractors you are describing will get around in small spots but not as well as a compact.<br>

You will also get out with less than $10K even with some restoration. You will have a lot more tractor also. Those tractors are all selling used for almost as much or more than when new. I think any of the old letter tractor are selling for more than when new and in some cases 2 to 3 times higher. The parts demand drives some of the pricing.<br>

The older JD's and Farmalls do not appear to have any let up in price. At auctions they are going very high compared to a few years ago. The demand is high and it seems likely they will go higher. Bottom line if you can find one of those tractors in decent shape you will not get hurt later if you decide to get rid of it.<br>

The models you are looking at vary in years but the 20-50 series goes to the early to mid 60's and they are all highly prized even the gassers.<br>

My old Farmall M sold new for around $800, I paid $1400 4 yrs ago and have been offered $2600 cash money. It is the tractor of choice when I have heavy work to do.<br>

It is going to be hard to tell you how the pricing is going to be. It depends on your area and who is intrested in what you are looking at and the time of year. <br>

All of the tractors you describe I THINK are 2wd and will be a little light for any type of serious loader work. The hydraulics are usually for the remotes and power steering plus other uses. Dual is 2 pumps.

I have looked at this several times. I am having trouble picturing the fittings.

Are they the fittings that physicaly go itto the cylinder? Or on the hoses that connect the fittings.

If it is fittings going into the cylinders are they weld in? Is it a pipie fitting that is loose? Someone forgot to pipe dope it?

Or is it a seal where the cylinder rod slides in and out?

I have seen older tractor buckets on after market loaders where clearances were not good have broken nipples at the cylinders.

B4 U-go after your injector pump. Have U checked your intake air flow?

Sounds more like an air issue. Plugged intake, filter, hose came apart, something out of the ordinary.

Loved em all. But would really like to have the truck again it was set up perfect. Over 200K when it went down the road. 2 trips to and 6yrs in Alaska. Bought it new in Hawaii and it saw almost every state in 17 years.

I have looked at that wedge ??? I don't know how many times. I kept thinking it might be too blunt but then remember back to the early splitters blunter = quicker. It also seemed like like there was an avoidance of narrow knife like wedges.

Me thinks I'm gonna trim the sides to increase (make sharper/narrower) the angle or cut the edge off add 1" of 1/2" flat stock, hardface it and sharpen.

The full cycle time is 10 sec or less.

The cutting edge is hard faced and I broke about 1" of it off sometime Sunday pm splitting real nasty Maple.

I'm not sure if I need to hard face the cutting edge.

Frank I recall the small trucks back then. Our town had Brockways gassers. 200hp tops it was no wonder they could not keep the country roads open.

Its amazin what a big Walter or OsKosh can do with out straining.

I enjoy winter, not as much now cause I work year round. I've lost a lot of my play time in the snow. BUT snow is still for playing.

I am also a fan of the PTO gen set. I have oil heat back up and the tank stays full. That is enough to run a couple of weeks 8-10 hours per day if needed.

Can you park out of the wind? I would prefer a 175w heat lamp close proxmity to the trans/hyd. The lamp also works good aimed at injector pump side of engine.

Can you use a lighter hyd oil during the winter? Lack of oil flow is tough on hyd pumps.

Back to original question any flat surface that will accept the mag mount, on the system you need to heat, will work.

During the last real cold snap my tractor started hard even with glow plug system, it's inside by wood stove now. My old 2 cyl ford would also start but it started hard, a block water heater would be real nice.

Why do people ask that question after the fact? Do you think you did good? If so: that is really all that matters at this point.

If you are bragging about the deal, good for you.

Enjoy the new toy and hopefully it will arrive soon and you can get hours of enjoyment from it. They are great back savers.
