Sorry Dennis about your misfortune. I've used Norton for several years. It has never let me down. I do agree it does get into many places I may not need it. However that's, in my opinon, a cost of having to many people with to much time on their hands to write malicious code.

The 2005 version has been on my PC for over 6 months now so it's not 2005. It could be a daily update but I doubt it. It has something to do with google looking in.

Google is a fine company I am sure, I think it is the best engine out there. But why all of a sudden do they need to see what we are looking at here.

What is a good quality security software.

I have never seen any problems with diesel. Much of our equipment is parked all winter and runs just fine in the spring.

I believe I would not park it almost empty for an extended period but if I did I would add fresh fuel b4 starting. The other concern would be condensation during extended periods with an empty tank.

We also have lots of small gas portable stuff the starts and runs just fine. Where we see problems with gas is low fuel levels in warm storage and condensation in the cold storage.

Art IT IS THAT TIME OF YEAR! We are starting to accelerate some still have a couple of weeks yet of Maint before plants are ready to run the season. Still holding on 40 hour weeks but you can feel the pace won't be long it'll be 60+.<br>

Mine is not an acre but it is 11' at the dock and there is an island. I pushed all my topsoil off to one side and pushed all the burden out let it dry cuffed it off and re covered with the top soil most of the yard is raised 3' on the far side as you look at my picture.

How are you going to dig it? Bulldozer or dragline? that will have an effect on how you can loose that much soil or to model it into a nice berm or terrace around the dig.

An island keeps a lot of soil from having to get moved and you'll still have a nice deep large pond.

I had another brain cramp on this. I'm ah thinkin a very good night vision scope might be in order also.

You will really need to check your hunting regs. Up here the DEC really frowns on any type of night hunting. We do have people that chase racoons, but I've never done that.

With some of the newlaws the DEC can confisticate anything you use in the comission of a game violation including your new pickup.

Keep it parked where someone with a rollback cannot back up and winch it on. As Denwood said put in additional or use your fuel cut off valve. A heavy chain thru the steering wheel to the loader will also help deter.

If someone wants it, it is gone no matter what precautions you take. However making it more diffcult by limiting approaches and mobility may cause the thief to look elsewhere for easier pickins.

I have an 12' ceiling in my shop. I built a loft 8' by the width for storage. I have my work benches and other tools under it. It's about 7.5' high under and 3.5' storage.

It seemed the best way to keep a nice ceiling and grab some storage space, which by the way after a couple of years the novelty of climbing up there to store stuff wore off. I go up there once a year now, maybe. The kids have more stuff stored up there than me.

I built a decent shed for storage, of course the kids want to fill that with their treasures also...

That tractor is in very nice condition. several things jump out: It has the correct wide front on it the grill cover is in place.

First tractor I ever drove was a H thru the fields in 1st gear steering near the bales so the big boys and men could throw them on the wagon. Only 8 or 9 at the time. Could just barely get the clutch and brakes down at the same time.

I have a 1944 M I putter with on Sunday afternoons. It does earn its keep doing the grunt work around here.

Keep working at the linkages. Unless the spring is broken it should loosen up.

Many times once engaged they will bind up on the gears. Try hitting or stabbing individual brakes a couple of times. Many times this will releive the pressure enough to let the gears unlock.

You have a couple of good starting spots from Murf and Randy. I'd also look for a low spot in the vent. The other posibility could be a bad joint in the wall, not glued and pulled apart.

Is the water damage 1st floor or 2nd?

HM Generally that is how many do it. Prioritize the things your need/want to run and put them into a seperate panel with your transfer switch between them.

That is the easiest and simplest way to do it if you feel the need to have the transfer switch, with out, or with, electricians and power companies involved.

Otherwise backfeed! Just make sure you know enough to turn off the main breaker B4 you even consider setting up your generator. Keep a eye on the neighbors to see when power comes back on. Then un hook your gen B4 you touch the main breaker.

If others are going to hook it up I would say with out a doubt get a switch. I think that is the concern with this thread. I do not trust too many other people to be safe either.

A farmer several years ago had a manual switch installed by the power company a big bladed thing on the pole. It failed! one leg did not disconnect and back fed the grid it brought the tractor to its knees. He shut it down. We just had a major failure with the power companys feed. They had to disconnect us for 2 days, at work, while our electroides checked all of our main transformers and sub transformers oils and contact switches. We were on gen power "BACKFED" for 2 days. When the power company reconnected us their switch contacts failed at 10 pm on a Sat night, big arc fire on the pole.

Nothing is FOOL proof. It only takes a small rivit to drop out of a switch blade on the switch and you'll have a live leg back to the grid. I believe Sq D just had a big recall on many of their large switches because a plastic disconnect link failed. When you pull the switch to disconnect the link broke and the line stays hot and the switch is in the off position.

ALWAYS TREAT ELECTRIC LINES AS LIVE UNTIL YOU PUT A METER ON IT.

It is a sorry state when some scum bag does this to hawk them on e-bay.

You should be able to buy them back on e-bay. Lots of tractor yards with experienced parts.

I'd check with WWW "dot" Wengers "dot" com. You also have some very large yards out your way.

Sounds like you have your heart set on a mig set up. That is a lot of machine for a non welder to learn on. The wire feed set up will set you back another $500-$1000 plus depending on what you want unless you can find a used set up.

You can get new smaller migs ( not the 110 V either) for the same money new ready to go with wire.

A new ac/dc 225 amp buzz box stick welder with every thing included is less than $350 new in the box. You can get a ln25 wire feed that will work on it for $1200.

There is a syphon vent that you can install on your valve stem. You will need lots of air to use it. It causes a vacum in the tube and will suck all of the water and air out of the tube. The tube will look like a vacum pac bag when you are done.

Murf ya rained on my parade. But that is ok I needed it.

I should only drink 16 oz of coffee max a day, the kind were they soak a bean in a bucket and call it coffee. Of course the spoon will stand up in it on its own, when I make it, if the warden does not make it first to the correct spec.

Can't remember the last sticky bun. Always nice to dream about.

Kinda like looking at seanery at the beach...
