Is the overflow milky and foamy? It would take more than a normal amount of water from condensation in the axle housing to make it milky colored. Your tractor isn't old enough to have much condensation in it yet, but it does happen over time. Possibly some water got left in from a flushing during manufacture of the housing??

Sorry I haven't heard of that product, but a local mechanic swears by a product called "Sea Foam", comes in a can maybe a bit bigger than a soda can at the convenience store. I don't think he puts it in a car but every spring a couple people bring in an old lawn mower that sat with the gas in it all winter all gummed up that won't run very well. He tells them to get a can of Sea Foam and dump half or more of a can in the lawn mower gas tank. Start it and let it smoke, gag, pop and bang till it runs good, go home and cut grass.

Unless you have a half dozen pumping oil wells on your ten acres bringing in unlimited funds I would go with hiring the baling done. A tractor big enough for a baler and moving hay around is going to be too big for general acreage work. A 30 - 35 HP four wheel drive compact with a front end loader and a box scraper will do an amazing amount of work. Add a rear mount finish mower, maybe a tiller and a snow thrower and you will have plenty of recreational farming without the hay baler.

I am assuming your term "Rearing", means backing up, I just hadn't heard that term before. If you haven't checked the fluid level in the rear differential, I would soon.
If that looks ok I would suspect a rear brake is dragging.

The fellows at the Amish hydraulic shop say they used "Tractor Transmission Fluid", I'm sorry, that wouldn't fly with me at all. No doubt they buy in bulk from the low bidder, and use one fluid for all applications.
I never owned a Kubota, but had lots of green iron. Every brand has their own requirements for additives to control brake chatter, clutch wear, moisture tolerance, low and high temperature requirements, on, and on. A green tractor may have small but very important requirements for their fluid than an orange or a blue tractor. The John Deere, Kubota, and what ever Ford NH fluids and filters sell branded for their equipment will be the most expensive up front.
The people who made our tractors don't want them to wear out prematurely, that isn't good for business. So it only stands to reason they will have the fluids and filters that are the best suited to keep them with proper service intervals operating for a long time.

The channels I miss most that Direct had were History 2 that had actual history shows instead of the History channel we get now that is Pawn Stars almost 24/7, the other is the RFD channel. Pawn Stars does have some educational value, but I simply cannot accept their coarse language and calling their father "The Old Man". I don't claim to be a saint, but rough language has no place on TV or radio shows.

The title of this thread and the gospel reading sperak of the "Prodical Son", I have to kind of chuckle a bit.
Our three sons were a joy to raise, but the two daughters, eleven years age difference were a bit more of a challenge.
I'm sure all parents have heard this statement. "Mom, girl one had this how come I girl two don't?". At the risk of being flogged by any lady Tractor Pointers, the boys never seemed to care what boy one, boy two, or three had. But those two girls sure did. Ok, I've probably said way too much already so I'll quit with that.

I don't have a solution but only a comment about their pecking. Most of you are familiar with a traditional windmill that was found on 99% of farms and are still used in remote pastures of the west to pump water. They had a wooden platform just below the wheel to stand on to service the "Head" where the shaft of the wheel went into and the pump rod came out the bottom, the head needed periodic service. This wooden platform seemed to be a popular pecking site, they would really make it rattle and soon you could hear an answer from another bird pecking somewhere, I think this pecking may be their mating call, I'm just guessing. Maybe this is where old Samuel got his idea for the Morse Code.

I hope to be around a while yet, I think staying busy is one of the keys to a long life. I really doubt I'll equal my Dad, he lived to 95 and was still helping at the shop growing a garden and mowing his own lawn till he was a bit past 90. I thought we would run out of things to do but since June first when we moved here there is something to do almost every day.

Hello butch and welcome to the site.
I'm not a Massey owner, but most three point systems work about the same. There is a whole grocery list of possible problems, but we'll start with the most basic.
1 Is the system full of fluid?
2 Do the other hydraulic functions like power steering or loader if so equipped lift normally?
3 Filters can be clogged, have you changed them?
4 How about the three point control lever, they are usually fastened to a shaft that goes inside, is it slipping on the shaft?
5 Did the three point arms used to stay up with the engine off before this problem cropped up?
6 The arms settling can have a lot of causes too, but most of them are messy to fix. A leaking bypass or pressure relief valve, a leaking seal on the ram inside the tractor that connects to the shaft that the three point arms are on. The three point valve it's self can be stuck, have some grit or something holding a valve partly open. These things are going to be greasy and oily to work with, besides taking a hydraulic valve apart can involve lots of little parts, balls, O-Rings, springs, etc., that can be hard to get back together correctly.

As you can tell by how far back the posts go this subject has as many opinions as asking a group of guys how they like their steak done.
Back in the H and M Farmall days we used calcium chloride but gradu7ally got weaned off of it when leaks ruined rims. Unless a leak was handled promptly the calcium would glue the tire bead to the rim making for a nasty job. a few tire dealers finally6 almost refused to fix a filled tire or would fix them at an elevated rate. I haven't used liquid since, cast iron only.
On my 4310 Deere with the loader I had the box blade on for ballast. I agree the little narrow tread tractors are a bit tippy, so caution is needed no mater how it is ballasted.

The last buzz saw I saw sits along the driveway of a farm yard as a yard ornament with flowers planted around it.
The last chainsaw I had was a Sthil, I don't know how much it weighed but it was light and one of their smaller saws, the greatest part about it was it started with one or two pulls.
Now on the other side of my chainsaw memory page is a big heavy two man saw with a handle on the out end of a blade that looked four feet long when I was a kid. The engine end had two handles that looked like a bicycle handlebar I don't know who owned the thing or what brand it was but I remember my dad and uncle struggling with that monster thing "IF" they got it started. The guy on the engine end was in a cloud of blue smoke and wood chips. I think a two man crosscut saw and an axe would have been faster and lots easier on the nerves.

If you'll notice the last post on this thread was in 2007, not that it isn't still good information.
I can understand your excitement about getting a new shed but my curiosity has me wondering about if you start now and completion is hoped for by mid February, that's a long time to put up a pole shed.

I'll have to take my stand for green. Ken is correct the earlier two wheel drive Gators with the lawn mower type tires will get stuck on almost anything wet, the tire tread fills with mud and you are done. We had one of those and we also had an HPX with the carbureted engine, stay away from the HPX unless it is a diesel. The last Gator we owned was an XUV 620i. That was a great machine, fuel injected like your car, it starts every time with just the turn of the key, no choke. Four wheel drive with a low range that we pulled loaded wagons with. Ours was a 2007 or 08 model, never an ounce of trouble. Another plus is we had a closing out sale on September second, the Gator brought every cent I paid for it new, I don't know about other brands but green seems to hold its resale.

I bought a 1370 new in the early 1970's and put a lot of hours on it without a lot of issues. The most frequent problem I had was with the air conditioner. The roof had to come off the cab to work on it, the cab fans, also in the roof were a real bear to service. As the tractor aged the seals to the cab seemed to let dust into the AC system that plugged the drain hoses and the AC coil in the ceiling which resulted in water leaking from the ceiling of the cab, a real mess.

Your 930 is a standard tread wheat land tractor. I don't think three point hitches were ever offered on standard tread models.
Standard tread models, in any brand weren't meant to be used like row crop models were, they were meant for drawbar work only.

I owned two Case 1070 tractors for several years but never had to remove a starter. If you are sure all the bolts are out then my guess is there is a gasket between the starter base and the flywheel housing if this is a power shift model that is stuck tight. The flywheels on power shift models have transmission fluid in the flywheel housing so a gasket would be needed under the base of the starter.
