A couple questions about the Gator.
What model?
How many hours?
When you say it accelerates then jerks, do you mean the engine revs up then the Gator jerks forward or is the Gator moving then the jerk occurs?
I'm going to guess either a worn drive belt or the variable speed pulleys are sticky and the engine pulley fails to close up to follow the belt smoothly up the narrowing sheave.
Gatoraider can do a lot better than me, so maybe he can help too.

Yup, I was as serious as an undertaker when I recommended the oxy/acetylene torch in the hands of a skilled torch person. With a pilot hole thru the center the pin would have been evaporated so quickly the bushings would have had little chance to been damaged.
I've did a fair amount of torch work but never enough build the skills of a pro with well maintained equipment.

I've never known of any legal requirements for a dealer to follow, but a check of the serial number will tell you the date of build. A tractor in the warehouse with no hours is still a new tractor unless a fresh model as you said has improvements over the stale one.
Any reputable dealer will gladly explain where the hours came from on any tractor on the lot. Some tractors are used as demonstrators and usually can be bought down the line a bit but I think a new warranty comes just the same as zero hour tractor.
A tractor with 200 hours is a used tractor no matrer how the hours got there.
Model year has some bearing in the value in tractors but far from the degree as with cars and pickups, the condition is the major key with tractors.

I don't remember the model numbers or the cost but I have demoed Deere's four wheel steer and their stick steer mowers a couple years back. Both were fine but just cost to much for our needs, we have a flagpole and two trees in an acre and a half of lawn at the farm and three trees in a half acre of lawn in town, so Roundup is my string trimmer.
We've got two Deere 345's one at the farm and one in town with a total of about 1,100 hours between them and I seriously doubt that I can outlive either of them.
I would have a hard time buyig a new mower of any design again when the Deere dealers have so many good late model used ones on the lot that thay could completely stop building new ones for two years and never run out.

Same thing happened here, early perfect weather spring. An over enthusastic old geezer that just couldn't quit planting stuff, I didn't mean your're a geezer, just me.
Some of the places my parents lived had a storm/root cellar in back of the house that we kept veggies in well into the winter. You have a good idea about digging one next to a building, that might be a good fall project here too. Nothing fancy just basic storage.

Your 3320 is a more modern version of my 4310, and a 485 hoe is a refined model of my model 48 Deere hoe. They make a good combination. I doubt that the bigger tractor will do much more for the hoe than your 3320 unless it may be a bit heavier to keep the hoe from sliding the tractor back on slipery clay conditions. In that situation I just fill the loader bucket with dirt and use it to lift the front wheels off the ground, that generates a bit more "Dead Man" weight to hold the tractor from sliding back. This doesn't happen when the stabilizers are on dry soil, only in real sloppy muddy mess conditions.
I have a 24 inch and a 12 inch bucket for mine, the 24 is right for most things but the 12 inch is handy for electric or waterline burial when ripping up as little of the yard as possible is a better situation.
You mention stump use, smaller 12 inch diamater or less stumps it makes pretty quick work of them, but the bigger the stump the longer it takes till you get to the real big ones, then it just won't do it, you need a regular size hoe for them.

Are there linkage systems between the levers and the valves that something cold have becvome unhooked, a roll pin thru a shaft broken, etc? Are the valves getting a supply of fluod? Is there a filter in the sysrtem that could be clogged, or the fluid level too low. Does the tractor have power steering or a three point hitch that still work?
Belarus dealers are rare here, but maybe in other places there are still some, someone here maybe can help on that.

Welcome to the board, always good to have new blood around here.
You mention sediment bowl, being I'm not familliar with your tractor I'm assuming you mean a conventional sediment bowl under the fuek tank. I've never saw a gravity fed sediment bowl under the fuel tank with any more than a flat fine screen just above the level of the glasss. Unless there was another filter element also in the bowl that screen alone won't keep enough dirt etc. out of the system to protect any diesel injector pump and injectors working very long. I don't want to be a dooms dayer, but I'm afraid that if contaminats have gotten far enough in the fuel systen to clog the injectors that you are going to need some help from a diesel repair shop.
Somehow you need to get a filter in the system or you are going to have the same problen again.

The drift I get from your post tells me you're new at tractors. The posts above are all good information and especially the warning that rollovers aren't a joke, they can be deadly.
None of us are trying to scare you away from tractors and it's good you recognize tha they are'nt a toy. A lot of us here have been driving tractors since we were ten years old, but that doesn't mean we are immune from making mistakes, we all need a safety reminder now and then.
I'm assuming your tractor has a roll bar so always fasten the seat belt. Start off slow and easy, you will soon find your comfort zone.

Is the 500. dollar box just an empty box on your three point hitch for you to fill with something heavy?
Even if it is already filled with something it always seemed to me to be a waste of money when a three point box blade will serve the same function plus lots of other things too.

I've had a Land Pride seven shank box blade for ten years or more. The only time it comes off the tractor is when I mount a tiller, rear mower, or a blade. I've never had the loader off since the tractor was new, so the box blade stays on not only for ballast but to move soil or gravel around. There are lighter less expensive box blades than a Land Pride, but you will never destroy one.

I don't know what a box blade costs today but your 500.00 would be much better spent toward one than an empty box with only one function.

Just my thoughts.

No I don't know where to get aftermarket much of anything for Gators. Deere has always been pretty good at seldom using off the shelf parts to keep you at THEIR parts counter.
Gatorraider is our inhouse Gator expert here, perhaps he has a source?

I'm not going to go much further here, my electrical knowledge wouldn't light much of a warning light. I had several Case farm tractors with plastic fuel tanks, the guages usually worked for a couple years after the tractors were new, then quit. The senders were never bad just a bad ground, but not always the easiest to find.
Maybe a Ford/NH owner could guide you further here.

Well yes, that was a close call. We had a relative from Michigan who left a lit cigar on the Sears catalog, any of your kin possibly?
He said he'd replace it, but I'm still watin. He sent a new catalog, but no two holer yet.
Winter is just around the corner, if you see him tell him that one with a wood stove in it would be a step up.

Glad to hear the tracor is working now.
Being mime is a 12/12 reverser instead of a Hydro your transmission may require different filters.
The best advise it to follow your owners manual, it will list the service intervals, part numbers of the filters you need and the proper fluid to use.
There are all kinds of opinions on whether to use the genuine Deere fluid and filters or a lower cost brand. That's your choice. but I'm a firm believer in using the Deere brand.
Being you're dumping all the old fluid there will be a metal strainer that your owners manual will show how to clean and replace. I've never found anything in mine but if you've never had it out I'd check it just to be sure.
PS - Don't wear your Sunday best, you're going to be a mess when your done.

I'm not up at all on tractor prices, but as KT mentioned it's not a bad idea to check with other local dealers too.
KT also touched on another important point. Compact trators are pretty lightweight compared to ordinary farm or heavy construction tractors. This makes adding a front loader to a compact a pretty helpless machine. I'm on my third compact with front wheel assist and wouild have a hard time advising you to buy a two wheel drive. I ran lots of two wheel drive farm tractors with loaders and even tho they are much heavier than a compact thay still wiil be helpless at times with a load in the bucket.

Well Jim it really isn't funny, but we all have to laugh at ourselves now and then. Telling you I never had a part or two left over would be a lie.
Possibly a dealer would help you out with a schematic showing where the bellvell washer goes. If you aren't a regular customer they may charge a few bucks for a copy, but well worth it to get the PTO going.

I think a four foot cutter would almost be too much for a twenty hp. tractor, not only for the ability to poweer it buts also as EW said to just lug it around. Our 345 Deere lawn moweres "supposedly" have 22 hp. engines, but mowing in a normal lawn situation using the bagger which runs the blower off the deck they strain a bit going uphill.
For as long as I've been around farm equipment dealerships there have always been some of the the salespeople who will tell you that their mighty new such and such model trator will easily pull a five bottom moldboard plow when in reality a four bottom was big load for it. I've found this also with compact salespeople recommending much too big of an attachment for their newest models. This usually rersults in a frustrated customer with a tractor that wears our long before it's time.

I don't know much about log splitters three point or otherwise, so I'd be the last to advise you on them.
"BUT", I have learned a lot about lending things, the hard way of course. Be polite as you can but a firm no is the only solution, relatives are by far the worst.
I still have a new backhoe bucket that a "Friend" borrowed and finally returned a year or so after I called him about it.
Guess what he has it again only he sent a mutual friend to borrow it this time under the guise that the mutual friend was going to use it to trench a footing for a room addition. It's a little narrrow 12 inch bucket that I bought extra with the hoe and never needed it. Far as I know the footing has been dug the addition built and my bucket has left with the first guy's hoe. My fault, yes, I don't like getting firm with people but this time if I get it back it stays here if I never use it the rest of my life. The first guy is just like you described "If its yours its mine too".
