I just bought a shibaura. Sd 3243. I am having several problems.

1) the 3 point won’t move. The guy I bought it from says it is seloinoid any idea ware to get one ?

2) The bucket was very slow when I looked at it. Now it will not go up. Sitting on the tractor there is a dipstick and filler plug between your feet. Is that gear oil or hydraulic fluid. Checking the dipstick it seems like gear oil but not sure.
Last problem. How do I get it into 4 wd ? I can move the lever but nothing seems to happen.

I am thinking of looking into buying maybe a Kubota B7100HST-D<br>
tractor that the guy said runs fine but the tractor will not move. 1,600 hours on it.<br>
Aside from the obvious has anyone had experience with this problem?<br>
If it is a can of worms Maybe should pass or is it worth taking a good look at it.<br>
Some Hydro mowers have a lockout for allowing pushing them.<br>
Deeres' 4000 series is a direct drive pump that is either good or bad.<br>
He is asking about what they seem to be going for if not broken.<br>
Have not actually talked to the seller but maybe interested.<br>
Any thoughts? A pump is probably wayyyyy up there in price?<br>

Hello,
I apologize for not posting a followup.
I have a 4200 tractor with the SST synchronized 3 speed transmission.
When I split the third housing I found that the bearings on both ends of the
transmission cluster shaft had worn considerably causing the transmission to only shift and work in 1st and reverse AND only when I pressed hard on the shifter to keep it in gear.
There is the transmission mainshaft with the three forward and the reverse gear and then there is the cluster shaft which keeps all in motion...Almost exactly like a Muncie 4 speed trans out of a 69 zz-28 camaro.
The balls in the ball bearings (RUSSIA MFG by the way) were worn almost in half of their original diameter. This caused the shift forks to be out of alignment and to not allow shifting into 3rd and second gears.
I fixed the bearings and found new used synchronizer "brass Rings" at an automotive transmission shop.
The clutch appered to be just fine so all was cleaned and reassembled and the trans works great now. Although it is a synchronized transmission I will not upshift it on the fly ...Just because I do not wish to take it apart again.

kthompson Yes it did come with all the 3pt equipment, but has been lost/sold by previous owner. Has 3pt control and FEL controls.I hadn't thought about asking the dealer about used equipment or trade in equipment. I now am using some old modified arms from old tractors, works but not very well at all. If I have to buy all new 3pt or even used, for the price I would have to pay the dealer I'd just as soon buy the better adjustable. I am not totally cheap, just frugal.............I had no idea Kubota parts were so expensive. $400.00 for ONE lower arm? Mercy! But I can tell that this will be a good dependable piece of farm equipment. If I could get a dimensional drawing of original equipment I could then search out the appropriate sized more modern adjustable arms etc. I have never used the adjustable lower arms, but the videos I have viewed,(actually, the first one) have convinced me that I gotta have them (Like disposable diapers). Thanks for the suggestion, as I will ck with the dealer. Garylee

Murf- It's 2015, I've found an Inland snow blower and a Google search brought me here. The OP may have moved on but who knows how many people since then have come to this thread looking for input. I wouldn't discourage anyone from adding to a thread, as long as this site exists it will show up in a search, it would be nice to allow the knowledge to continue to accumulate.

thx so much for gettin back now i can try to locate parts. runs good when warm,but there's oil coming out of the carb. have any advice? i'm kind of into the cosmetic part of the project,not so keen on the rebilt of engines. Gary
