Hi guys having problem with my 1160 Massey Ferguson 1998 4 Wheel Drive tractor. I cannot get the bottom filter to come out to change the hydraulic fluid. Can anyone help?<br>

I parked it in the barn was running fine. Tried to start it a week later, turned the key, Heard a pop and now not cranking. When I turn on key lights on dash are bright, but when I turn to start they go dim and no crank. If I jump it it will crank but too slow to start. If I put it on charger it says battery is charger. Tried to start strait to starter but will not crank. Anyone have any thoughts on how to fix it?

I feel your pain. I took the rack and pinion out of the front differential and about four years ago when I could still get parts. I was able to get the complete assembly which made it a lot easier the toughest thing was trying to get the proper shims in the right spot because I did not have the gauges. So it was all guesswork. I have found a place where you can get parts for your tractor if they have one on the yard.

Someone posted earlier that it is the same as a mahindra because Mahindra made it. That is incorrect. The tractor was made by MDT. MDT also made the Mahendra 2615 which also the cub cadet 7260.

The guys at tractor parts ASAP are great to work with. I believe they have two locations. I had to get some side panels because a scrapper came bye while I went up to the auto parts store to get some antifreeze and he thought my side panels were scrap. The guys at tractor parts ASAP had a 2615 and that was in a fire, they sent me pictures of the panels and because they were not warped I want to head and purchased them. They are painted and waiting for decals. I hope all this helps you.

I found a Mahindra scape dealer in Wisconsin who had a 2615 Mahandra. That is the exact same tractor is the 7260 cub cadet. They had the side panels off of a tractor that was in a fire, so I purchased the pair for $200 and repainted them. You’re right though one is they’re hard to fine too if you can find them they’re over 700 bucks.

I think your on the right track, but your issue maybe much deeper. I copied the following from an article on winter versus summer diesel. I had this happen to me the year I took my tractor from Florida to Georgia. I tried to start my cub with temperatures in the 20's and it was a no go. I emptied the fuel and purchased diesel fuel at the local station and fixed my issue. Good luck

"As the seasons change, it is a good idea to check the fuel grade, as well as the cetane rating on the pump. The higher the cetane number, the easier the diesel vehicle will start in cold weather.
Winter or Winterized fuel and anti-gel additives are an important part of your winterization. Add them to the tank whenever you fill up to ensure the smooth flow of fuel and better vehicle performance during the cold season. Check your owner�s manual for specific additive guidelines and always follow mixing to the letter or risk fuel system damage.
Note: There is a difference between �winter diesel� and �winterized diesel.� Fuel stations in cold areas in the northern U.S. offer two kinds of winter diesel fuel. Number 2 diesel is mixed with number 1 kerosene in the gas station to make winter blend. Number 2 diesel treated with additives by the supplier is known as winterized diesel. Just prior to the glow plugs not working, the alternator lamp would flicker and sometime it would stay on a minute or two. That has not happened since the glow plugs quite working. The glow lamp does work, because it come on when I move the ignition switch to the start position. Everything else works fine. I appreciate the information. I will start at the battery , go to the starter and work back to the dash, checking the fuses and connections as I go. The service manual I have has two wire diagrams and both are absent of the info you gave me. I will try to find a parts manual and get the diagram from there. Again, Thank you.

I just picked up a power beyond kit from the dealer for a JD4120. It doesn't look too complicated -- but we will see how it goes. Instructions are included and I've found YouTube video that demonstrates the installation.
Where did you find the mounting hardware for the JD48? Were there any drawings, with dimensions, of the mounting plates included in your purchase? I have not been able to find the hardware and I'm thinking of taking some other plates that I have to a machine shop to get them modified to fit my tractor and JD48 backhoe.

need hydraulic pump for e2304. It's a 2 bolt 2" 12spline shaft. The number on the pump is 07ALFSS. A crossover number may be 72102696 but not sure.

I found a number on the block 840222. Can you tell me anything more about the tractor with that number?

I did pull the valve cover and inside looked pretty clean. Couple of the rods were tight while others turned freely.

This e- gator is a 2002 new batteries, no seat switch, a curtis dc motor controller that flashes a status code of 3 flashes pause then 5 flashes. the relay that is clicking and not staying closed, is the relay that supplies power from the batteries to the motor controller, the relay is good the control voltage to the relay checked with a meter is on off on off (click click click click) all four switches on this machine are good and working. thank you for your help.

I am attempting to install a Bulldog 282 front end loader on my E18D Hinomoto---I do not know a lot about the Hinomoto and need some direction with how to pipe hydraulic fluid to and from the control valve on the loader (I would like to use the hydraulic's installed on the tractor). I would surely appreciate anyone who can provide any info about how to do this---Thanks, Randy
