I gave my insurance agent serial numbers, cost of tractor and each implament. And is going to send me in writing that everything is covered. As long as I am using the tractor for my own use and not for work or agricultural purposes. It is covered for natural disasters, fire and theft. But not for damage I do to the tractor. My tandem axle trailer is covered under my auto insurance, but their is a rider on that and it will cost a me a few bucks, its minimal.

I`m a pipefitter my trade and plan on doing the job myself, I can buy hoses, tees, bulkhead fittings and quick disconnects at my companys` discount prices. I still don`t know if this is cheaper than just buying the complete unit from Kubota or not. I just came back from running a job in Belvidere IL. and gutted the whole body shop at Chryslers. There were tons of quick disconnects and hoses that were just scrapped and I could have collectected all I wanted. I could have cut the hoses to the right length and had the proper ends put on them. But I had my head up my butt. I going to be buying a post hole auger to dig alot of holes for a new deck and peirs for my airplane hanger columns. I do alot of work in the Auto plants and I am sure I can come up with more things I need again. I am starting a new job at GM in Pontiac, MI in a few weeks. Alot of rework there also, I will just have to keep my eyes open for some goodies that just gets thrown into dumpsters. I`ll let you know how it goes. I will also let you know on prices for all the peices to build your own. I will itemize it out for you.<br>

Sounds like a good deal to me also. I just purchased a 2004 B7510HST with 30 hours on the 60" belly mower, LA271 loader, grill guard and tractor, A new 4` box scraper and a new 16 foot tandem axel trailer with elec brakes for $13,600. Manufacturers warranty till Oct. 2007. But no back hoe. I was very happy with my deal and it looks like you did great also. I hope you got the Hydrostatic Trans, that is about a $2,000 option. <br>

All of you guys bring up very interesting and valued points, I will definately check into this tomorow. I will post what I find out.
Like you said, state to state are all different. I will check with my agent, but like KT said, I am willing to bet my agent has never been asked to insure a "real" tractor.

I am new to this group, but if your kill switch works like most others it will kill all power to your machine.
BUT,,,,If the engine is not running and if the kill switch is in the non-kill position. You will have power going to all the places that it should not be going to unless the engine is RUNNING, because your ingnition will still be in the on position. I am not 100% positive on this, but I would get a new one installed ASAP. Or have someone who does know look at it before you fry something very exspensive. Good Luck
