Today, July 08-2008 I went to pick up my tractor from the dealership. Mahindra had sent their service specialist to check the problem on my tractor. He called me around noon, when he was already on his way back home. He said everything works to Mahindra's specs. When I picked up my tractor at Wilsons it wouldn't even start. The battery terminals are badly corroded. Wilsons does not acknowledge this as a problem. I guess if a tractor has already 50hrs of use it's time for it to fall apart. When I tried to load it on my flatbed trailer, it almost didn't make it up on there. Engine running at around 2100rpm, transmission in low gear, and the wheels stop turning. I backed up a few inches and gave it a running start. It finally climbed up the steep 10 inches of the dove tailed flat bed trailer. I can climb higher than that with my bicycle.<br>
I called Mahindra, spent hours on the phone with different people. Had to repeat everything over and over and over. Finally their head service manager called me back, telling me everything works just as it should. I must be confused or so; a 20HP 4 wheel drive tractor has a hard time driving on a trailer. Not even to mention the sorry ass performance when I try to drive it out of a hole or any type of incline more than 15 degrees.<br>
Mahindra's conclusion is that I'm wrong and they are right!!<br>
I will see my lawyer tomorrow and try to get my money back. The tractor does not work as it should; or, if that's how it should be then this is really a totally piss poor joke of a tractor.<br>
My advice to eveybody is: DO NOT BUY A MAHINDRA PRODUCT!!!!<br>
