samuel, I have the TC29D my step-dad has the TC30 both work great in grass cutting mode. The 29D is way more like a Town Car nice to drive...

Mike, its my understanding that the 29D is a 25D with an injection boost.. Ihave the 29D wish I would have got the 33.. don't get me wrong the 29D is a tough machine.. But the 33D gives you that little extra... good luck, Shawn

Holmes57, I have the TC29D yes it whines a bit (hydro pump) even worse when its cold like 25deg. range till the fluid heats up... As for the Rough starts not sure... I have 100 hours on mine. I keep it in the un-heated garadge and on the cold days I clutch it, let the glow plugs do there thing, then start... Let it run a but then let the cluth out. then they hydo-pump starts to whine... Back it into the drive and let it heat up for awhile... If you can swing the extra cash get the TC33D though.. Good luck

Lars, You got quite a situation.. I Will give you my 2 cents... I have a NH TC29D, I use it for cutting the grass and excavating somewhat.. A tractor will not dig like a bobcat (lifting, breakout force)in the front loader nor as fast in moving around. Though a tractor is cheaper. I also have the back hoe attachment. On a tractor I think it is a must! I use it more than I ever thought. I used it to dig out a 20 some inch hickory stump, though I dont advise it... Took about 12 hours just to dig a hole big enough to get the root-ball out, not to mention the ramp to drag it out of the hole. As for other attachments there out there but they need a 7GPM pump, if you have a hydro-drive it pulls off the same pump. The same goes for when you use anything hydro. My tractor is a 29hp but buy the time it get to the pto after the hydro drive its 20hp which makes a diff. when you would use it in a brushhog, tiller or other type app. Tractors are great in moving dirt, mulch, gravel, anything loose. The next thing is the trailer I run a 16' 14,000Lbs cap. Overkill a bit but got a good deal. an 18' would be better though. The tractor weighs about 5K with backhoe and loader + 2.8K trailer weight... Which brings us to a truck, the loader needs to reach high enough to dump over the side, which is why I went New Holland very high reach. As for the mini trackhoes I used one once faster than the tractor but not as much digging power, due to the fact they are not as stable... Example.. If you are pulling on a root that is in there they will tip foward, so you bounce it a bit to break the root free... well when it does you go back the other way real fast, what a ride though. :-) Hope I have been some help good luck...

All I can tell you is I have the TC29D It's great... I Wish I would have got the 33D for the little more PTO power...

I have the TC29D its good....I have had it about a year some things I have found... Dont expect to do too much digging with the front loader. It is great for moveing topsoil, mulch , snow, gravel..etc. I also run a 5ft brush hog from time to time and this is when I wish I had the TC33D or the 35D thought the 35 physical size bigger. PTO horse power is a big thing, hydro-stat drive is veery nice but it takes away from the over all power of the machine and is REAL load in the cold months till it warms up... Just some things I have found..
