Does anyone know the gas mileage of the 3/4 ton with 5.7 hemi and high gearing? I'd love to go for the diesel but the five grand option is a little steep for me.

I have a 450 TYM. FEL, Back hoe. Box scrapper, Post hole digger with two augers, R 4's, two rear remotes and a five year warr. for $22,000. This is a fantastic machine. I have taken full loads of wet clay down 22% grade and never had the rear wheels (that are not loader) come off the ground. If you live in hilly terrain, like I do, I highly recomend this tractor. This is a powerful 4 cyl. tractor yet you can run it for two days on a tank of fuel(8 gal)

How would I determine the bore, retracted lenght, and stroke for a top link and a side link? With my box scrapper on the ground the pin to pin lenght is apporx. 18 inches for both the top and side links. the tractor is a 45 hp TYM. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hey guys, a big thanks to all of ya for the timely replies.
I was hoping the mileage would be more in the 15 to 17 range. I have a 1996 chevy ext cab 1500 with a 5.7 and it consistently gets 18 on the highway when I'm not towing but, it does not have power to tow my 4500 TYM with loader and backhoe and two axle trailer very well. I live in a hilly area. I guess if I want more pulling power AND higher fuel mileage I have to go diesel. I know the up front cost are higher on the diesel but what I'd like to know are the maintenance cost higher on diesel than on gas? I keep my vehicles for about 150 to 200,000 miles before replacing.

What is the cost of rim guard per gallon? Do you mix rim guard with water or use it straight? If you mix it what is the ratio?

Does anyone know the ratio of antifreeze to water for filling tires for corrosion protection? I'm not concerned about freezing where I live.
