I had the same problem. On the side of the transmission, there is a metal line that goes to the three point hitch.
You will see three bolts holdint the line to the transmission. Take out the three bolts and inside is a mesh metal screen. Mine was completely blocked. Wash the screen with diesel fuel or other type of cleaner. It worked great after that. One thing to note is when you repove the pipe you will drain all the fluid out of the transmission and three point hitch. I drained abour three gallons into a five gallon bucket

Is there some trick to installing a transmission range neutral switch on the NH TC33D? It's difficult to get at inside-behind the left rear tire. Switch is mounted on the bracket but I can't position is so it makes contact with the neutral level. Any ideas?

Any difference between 2005 & 2006 model L48? May want to put on Ag-Tires, can heavy duty Ag-Tires the same size be bought to fit rims that come on L48?

Can't find the manual for my 790. I need to know how to operate the PTO when not on the tractor. The safety switch shuts down the tractor when you get off the seat. Can anyone help?

I just used the tractor last night and still whining. I start whining at the thought of spending $150-200 on hydraulic fluid from the Amsoil man. Are there any affordable solutions for synthetic? Under $100. $20000 for a tractor and whining about a couple hundred bucks. Another year of paymnents and its all mine, when I'm not spending $350 a month on payments maybe the wife will understand the cost of fluid. Thanks for the great info everyone. I wonder if I can return the empty buckets of fluid to sams complaining that the fluid is not a direct replacement for new holland spec oil? Just a thought. I hate to burn another $20 worth of oil on my brush pile.

Many of my travels to the orient, I noticed farmers using a three wheel type motorized vehile. It was chain driven, bicycle type seat with one wheel in back and two forward. It had a large platform over the front tires and could haul a large amount. Bicycle type steering.
Has anyone seen these and are they available in the US? Would be a great item for the large garden or arbortum.

I am looking at a 1987 JD 755 with a 60" deck. This unit has 1600 hrs. and is 2WD. It has terra tires on the back. I intend to use it primarily for mowing plus some light tilling and snow removal <br>When it is running there is a small amount of black smoke coming out what looks like a crankcase vent tube. Is this a concern?<br>They are asking $6700. Is this a fair price?

I have a Ford/NH 1215 with only 300 hours on it. I've had no problems with the tractor yet and I work the heck out of it considering its size. I've run a 48" Bush Hog, 48" belly mower, york rake, 60" back blade and single bottom plow, all with no problem. I recently installed a Great Bend 220 Loader on it with a 48" bucket, again, no problems, although I usually carry a counterwieght on the back when doing heavy loader work. 4WD is a must. I do not have PS, which would be nice with the loader. Keep in mind these tractors are small, only 16 HP. You may have problems with bigger implements. I rented a 60" rotary tiller which was too big for the tractor and forced me to make several passes to get to the depth I wanted. My neighbor has a 1210 which is basically the same machine. He has over 1200 hours and has had no major problems.

I have a Ford 1215 with turf tires and use a Ford 110 single bottom mold board plow. I've got pretty heavy soil so it works the little tractor pretty hard but it manages. 4WD is a must. Other than my loader I do not have any additional wieght added. Occasionally I'll have to lift the 3-point hitch if I get bogged down. Good luck.

John:

Great Bend, Bush Hog and Woods all make quality "after market" front end loaders. I just purchased a Great Bend loader for my Ford/NH for $700 less than the NH Loader. The two loaders match up well specs wise. The generic control lever on the Great Bend doesn't look as pretty as the NH but for $700 savings I can live with it. Check out the sites below for more info on these three companies. Great Bend and Bush Hog are now both owned by Allied Products so the equipment is virtually identical. Anyways, for specs see manufacturer's websites.
