Oil leak seems to be gone. I drained about 3/4 of a quart from the engine oil, cut for about a half hour and no leak. Glad it was as simple as that. Thanks for the advice.

My MF 1240 with 260 hours has been very good to me, but as of late the loader seems to be unable to lift a full load and will stop just before dumping. I changed the hydraulic fluid changed the filter and cleaned the other filter (which was caked with metal shavings). After that the loader speed was better but still having problems with lifting heavy loads and still hesitates before dumping. Any suggestions would be great. Jason

Looking at a mf 1240 just wondering if they have a mid mount pto for use with a mmm. Also wondering what one may be worth with a fel 4wd and about 300 hrs. thanks jason.

Hey guys, Been along time since I've needed any advice on tractors that is. Been looking to upgrade an IH 244 mmm 2wd. Living in Western NY summers and winters are about the same as far as tractor use goes. Grass cutting is easy but the snow removal is a little uneasy with 2wd and blade action. I've been looking at the Bx 2350 mmm and fel series and although they are great little tractors I feel that i may soon outgrow one even though I only own 4 acres and cut about half of that. Been checking out the 7510hst with fel and mmm although she isnt much bigger seems to be a better build. If anyone has any advice as far as size and price difference goes that would be much appreciated . oldandintheway

I have a early 80s IH 244 with a woods belly mower. I usually take it off for the winter and push a little snow. The problem is i cannot get the pull off from the pto tried everything. Any suggestions would be great
