Agree that the FEL can lift as advertised, but make sure you watch your center of gravity, since that little tractor can get real tipsy real quick. If the terrain can support it, it's best to keep an implement on the 3-pt hitch.

My only complaint is that the tractor itself is too light to put any real force behind the FEL. I can scrape up a bucket of plain dirt easily enough, but have a heckuva time cutting into grassy soil, even with the big shredder on the hitch. Is there anything else I can do to add more weight or cutting power to the FEL? I guess front wheel weight would help. What about some kind of teeth for the front edge of the bucket?

If your east Texas grass is anything like my south Texas grass, keep a close watch on the grill screens. The MMM throws up quite a bit of dust near the tractor, and the screens can get coated quick, which will lead to overheating. Since there's no temp gauge, your first indication (if you notice it) will be the small overtemp warning light.

I noticed in one post that someone recommended not changing to the full synthetic until 100 hours. How hard and fast is that number? What's the downside of changing earlier, like at around the 50 hour mark/first scheduled oil change? Does it make a difference if the operating conditions are particularly harsh, like daily temps near 100 much of the year?
