I bought EZ Lock thread inserts and got them installed in two of the four holes that did not have cracks in them ,one in the front and one in the rear.I have to find a spiral tap to get the other two in as my three flute tap won't engage the holes correctly to cut threads.I have it installed on the tractor now and I just keep an eye on them before during and after mowing.Thanks for the thread insert tip!

I have a a 60" side discharge 914A mid mount mower deck and the blades are worn out.I need to replace them and was wondering if anyone beside NH made them available.<br>
I was also wondering what length belt to buy .The manual just calls it a belt for 60" mower

Does anyone know how thick the casting is .I don't want to drill through,thats what I was afraid of in the first place.Does any one else have this problem? Thanks for the advice so far!

I have a 24D and it starts hard in real cold weather 10 degrees or colder .I have to set the throttle up a bit so when it does start its at 1200 to 1500 RPM it has one big puff of black smoke and off it goes.It does take a while for the hydraulics to warm up though,even when the engin is up to operating temp.After 10 min of plowing and lifting snow every thing operates like on a summer day

When I put the brake on the light on the dash wont always stay on .If I get off the seat with the tractor in netural and the brake set, but the light not on it shuts off on the safety switch.Does anyone know how to adjust this? I haven't really looked to hard yet as it is too cold and windy. Any help would be appericated.

This is getting interesting, the more you know , the more you don't know. I only have 60+ hours on it now and changed the oil using the NH brand 10W-30.I think I would be leaning toward the synthetics after a few oil changes (so the rings can seat properly)Thanks for all the advice so far

I got my tractor the day before Labor day and have been using it daily.I could not be happier.It cut my mowing time down from 6 hours to 2 hours.I am just getting used to it now and it is time to service it .Does anyone know if the filters are available from an autoparts dealer?
