I'm looking to buy a 3010 or 3410 Kubota and can't decide which transmission to buy. Any thoughts/opinions would be greatly appreciated.

The 47 and 48 backhoes go on and off without the use of any assist if the rockshaft is adjusted properly and the gold colored plates are adjusted properly on the backhoe where the rockshaft picks the backhoe up.

Roger, there are standards on how loader capacities are calculated. It sounds like from some of your postings you are an engineer so you should be able to relate to the two organziations that establish these standards. The first is ASAE (American Society of Agricultural Engineers) and the second is SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers). Your North American manufacturers follow these standards.......I won't comment about non-North American manufacturers.

On a 4200 thru 4600 tractor.....look at the last four digits of your serial number. If the number is in the 100,000 range it was first year production, 200,000 it was second year production.....etc

The 990 has a YANMAR engine in it and you caqn mount the JD 8A or 8B backhoe on it. If you are looking at the JD 4300, the 790 is the same HP as the 4300.

You seem to be concerned about stability but I haven't seen anyone point out the ROPS issue. It appears to me that unless you are extremely short, the top of your head will be above the safety plane of the BX tractor.

You should make sure the mounting point on the GB loader is not very different than the 410 loader. Original equipment manufacturers try to balance the loads both fore and aft as well as laterally so as to keep the unit as stable as possible and also to equalize wear and tear on both axles. A loader that is not mounted this way (particulary to close to the front axle) will not have proper weight distribution.

Has anyone purchased a Kubota L48 and used it enough to give me a good assessment of it? I was looking at the L35 but then got wind of the L48 so I decided to hold off. Any insight would be appreciated. Give me an idea of what you used prior to your buying the L48 so I have an idea of what you are comparing your new unit to. Thanks.

The Kubota B7500 operator's manual states the largest bush hog that is to be used on this tractor is 42 inches wide.

Has anyone compared the "new" B7500 to the old discontinued B2100? I was looking at these tractors last week and it looks like Kubota just re-skinned the B2100, lowered the price and called it the B7500. I was looking at a used B2100 but after I saw that, I'm scared I am throwing money down the drain. Why buy a used B2100 when the same tractor , ie B7500, is a couple of thousand dollars less. I pity the poor dealers that have any B2100s sitting around, either new or used.

Larry is correct......the 850 is a gear drive trans and the 855 was a hydro

Roy, the turnbuckle was not the problem. I pushed the draft arms out as wide as I could and they hit the frame around the drawbar area. The turnbuckle was NOT hindering the draft arms from moving out.

What kind of tractor? there are some tractors being sold that do not meet ASAE standards as far as hitch geometry

It sounds like you will be using your PTO quite a bit.......the 4300 has an independent PTO.......I think the L3010 is a continuous live
