I wasn't going to get a ballast box until I tried to move a dump truck load of gravel. I have a 4 ft frontier blade and that wasn�t enough counter weight. The front felt like it was heavy and the tractor was a little unstable on uneven ground. It�s not a good feeling when you get a tire off terra firma. The guy at the dealership said it could also help when I mow on steep terrain. If you are not moving anything that heavy you should be alright.

Mark, Where did you find those forks for the FEL. Those look really handy. Would they work on a 210 do you suppose?

David and Doc, thanks for the advice. Breadboy I have a quote of 13400 with the mower and fel but I had to remind the dealer about the rebate on the attachments. That ends first week in July along with the 0% financing. There seem to deliveries but they are spotty. My dealer has several but I won�t probably try and push the 12500 price.

This is a guess, but most liens that could be on a piece of equip are something like a UCC general lien. If it had a title to it like a car or truck the title would have the lienholder listed, that would be too easy. If it is a business you are buying it from you could go to the court house where the co is domiciled and ask for a lien search from the register of deeds. If they owe a lender and it is secured by specific collateral i.e. a tractor mod # and year, I think it would be listed. If you have a valid bill of sale I would be more concerned that they haven't done something like file bankruptcy. You must have some concerns about the seller, huh.
