Thanks to all who helped out. I took your advice and cleaned all of the connections including the battery terminals, battery clamps, ground frame, and the solenoid. Just tried it and it turned right over!

Thanks for the info. I've talked to my friend so he knows what's going on. I'll check the clutch adjustment and then go from there.
