I have a Cub Cadet 7260 tractor that will not lift the 3 point hitch. In fact there is no pressure on the lifting arms. I can move them up and down easily. It is apparent that I am not getting fluid into the cylinder. My guess is the fluid is not making it through to the Hitch control valve. Do these valves break or freeze up? <br>
I have not used the tractor in about a year cause I have been restoring it but prior to that the hand control for the 3 pt was very hard to operate and could only get it to raise by applying a lot of pressure to it. It would make a squealing sound when it raised. While restoring the tractor I discovered the linkage to the hand control was froze up. I thought that was the problem. I fixed that but now the lift does not respond at all. I am thinking broken hitch control valve. What say you?
