Just curious if you have ever taken the time to see how much of a root system quackgrass has on it. It is not unusual for quackgrass to have rhizomes that is 20 or more feet running and sometimes at least a foot underground. The way that has worked best for me is to use roundup on the entire area, keeping it dead for at least 6 weeks longer if you can stand it. I used to have problems like this in wildflower beds, after a few years the quack would move in. I would kill the entire bed, burn it off, then water it to bring back the seeds, kill it again, then use a soil sterilant, tarping for a week. even after all that, a few years later, the quack would come back in, birds poop it in the bed, rodents carry it in, mowers blow it in.....who knows but it does come back after time. have a look at this site might help...good luck with boiling water on quackgrass

I use a pair of car ramps and pull up on them and block the tractor up just in case. work under the deck and use an impact wrench, that is the key. I also have 2 sets of blades, that way i just swap them when i need to. Thats my 2 cents

Oh yeah, well my dad killed a gopher with a stick!! How come everytime somebody disagrees with you, you attack. You made fun of the guy that said the thing flipped and now you come after me. Man, my fourth grade education has served me well. It didn't take me three days to think up this great comeback. I like the trailer I rent just fine. I rented all by myself. Now I am LOL. And since I started this attack on you I will hereby attest that I am done, you may fire another volley and we will call it truce. After all, my grandparents were both Canadian, you never know, maybe we're related and that is what makes me sarcastic (opps, another big word!) and you acerbic.
