have you checked the oil in tranny?if it is full of oil then i would say the brakes are worn out.

You can go to this Jond Deere site and see parts break down, it has helped me repair my tranny 4x2 Trail Gator
Johndeere.com look for parts catalog and under find put 4x2
it should pull up three choices and go from there

thanks i went to dealer and rented both tools.
had to replace rollers in primary clutch.
