I'll post this in the event that it can help one of you.<br>
A few weeks ago, I went to fire up my D2650FD and got a very weak "click", then nothing. So I checked the battery and the voltage measured ok. I tested the voltage at the starting motor, again ok. So I took the starting motor off, and tested it - the solonoid acivated and it spun up fine. So I figured that it just wasn't working under a load so I took it to my local rebuilder. He said it was fine. I put it back on the tractor - nothing.<br>

Turns out to be the battery ground. After 28 years apparently the battery box is not a good ground. I put on a battery ground wire directly to the frame, and ....<br>
It starts like a new tractor. I love my big blue tractor!

My D2650FD has been overheating when bushhogging lately. Bushhogging is the only activity that I keep it throttled up for a long time. There doesn't appear to be any coolant leaks, so I flushed the radiator and replaced the cap with a new one rated for 18 lbs. That seems to have worked, but I am concerned that I don't know what the correct pressure rating should be. <br>
Does anyone here know?

Hi Guys,

I have not been able to find a source for this ROPS. I did find a local welder that the local tractor shop uses, and he offered to make me one. I will persue this option when the weather gets cold. In the meantime, I don't take my tractor down the steep hills, which unfortunately is most of my property!
