Thanks guys, What I'm looking at would take 2 days maybe, you really don't need the box blade much grade is established except for a trench or two. It seems like that preseeder would be the ticket, pricey but it might be worth it. Is this the same machine as a grade maker?

I just shortened the ROPS on mt L2500 by 1 inch to clear the garage door header. It was a two peice ROPS and only took about 3 hours to do. It looks great you can't even tell it was shortened except for an extra hole.

I guess it depends on how far and often you trailer, I would go bigger than you think you need, you may want to haul with a box blade or something. I trailer my L2500 from Ohio to Tennessee on a 6 by 16 dual axel with brakes its the only way to go. Bought the trailer for $1000.00 I wouldn't feel comfortable with a single axel trailer.

I have the L2500 gear drive with a 5' bush hog and have no problems mowing with it. I cut trails on 30 acres and mow fields in the Tennessee hills. I was under the impression the hydros robbed a lot of horsepower.

Hi, Just found this discussion, I like it. I have the L2500 it has an over-running clutch built in. I do a lot of bushhogging with it, no problem just ease out the clutch and then bring the mower up to speed.
