I have an IMATCH system works great. However it only works with selected JD attachments. It is really great when I want to drop my MX5 on anything other than level ground. Seems all of these quick hitch types have some drawback. My dealer threw in the Imatch on my deal...

Why risk any problems with a new machine that's under warranty and give the dealer the chance not to help you out if there is a problem later. The couple extra bucks spent on the dealer parts are not going to be that much. In fact my green dealer gave me a deal by buying the filters and fluid in bulk, so I stocked up for the parts needed for the first two years. Proper maintenance and service will make your machine last and give good value for many years. You know best how to fill your needs. Hope it works out for you.

You can replace the hose and refill. Then again depending on how much fluid you lost you may want to change it all and filters too. The system will bleed itself. I've seen some 4000 models with kevlar hose covers, that may help. I do not know if they are available for the 790 series. Happy hoggin'

I just bought a MX5 and I must say it is really great, does the heavy stuff no problem and still does a nice even cut. My MX5 works way better than my neighbors Woods and was a bit less to boot.
