My 4110 behaves just the same. I'm glad I saw this post because I was just wrestling with this same question. I can barely hear a click and was wondering if that was really what I was suppose to be listing for because it sounds more like a minor tick.

I'll be buying a FEL for my 4110 in a year or so when finances allow. I trailer my tractor between between my VA property and my SC home, but I have to leave all my attachments locked up at my property since they won't fit on my trailer.<br>

My question is: how easy and how long does it take to attach and detach the FEL?

I just got my 4110, and what a fantastic machine it is! <br>

My question is in regards to grease points on the machine. The manual points out about 7 spots that should be greased with a grease gun, but my tractor did not look the same as the photos in the manual. Since the manual is for the 4110 and 4115, I am guessing that maybe some of the photos are of a 4115 and that is the difference, however, it seems it would have made mention of this. Did anyone else have problems locating all the grease points that the manual shows?

Does anyone have a suggestion for a book on tractoring? I'll be getting a 4110 in about a month and would really like some literature that has some helpful tidbits.<br>

Thanks so much for everyone's responses.

Since our property is still pretty wooded which will require lots of stop and go and obstacle course driving I think I'm going for the hydro transmission. The dealer we are talking to says he can get that for $1000 more. I'm slowly inching past my budget but I plan on keeping this thing for the next 20 years (I hope) so I figure I should spend the extra bucks now.

Please forgive my ignorance, but I am totally new to tractors. I intend to buy a John Deere 2210 or 4110 (compact tractor). How do most people insure their tractor? Is this something that goes on your homeowners policy? What paperwork is involved when buying one as far as registering it with anybody?<br>

I'm wondering if I didn't make it clear as to how much grading I need to do.

I am only concerned with grading about 2 acres. Do you think the 2210 is too small for 2 acres worth of grading?
