I need a replacement pto shaft for my LandPride 2584 mower. The local dealer quoted $400. Is there a place to find a used one, or, can a machine shop make one? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.<br>

Not the ZD28. It has large inflated tires front and back. My experience is that horses mess up a pasture far more than other animals. Their hooves really create holes when the ground is wet, and it dries hard and pocketed. Overall, the mower is great.

I just got a new ztr for my finishing mowing, and it is great. With over 4 acres of yard plus 20+ acres of horse pasture, I needed something that goes fast, does a great job and is fun. So far, the ZD28 is all of that. With the 72" deck it goes fast. Any others on this board using ztr mowers?<br>

I have a JD 924DE snowblower, used in snow only twice, that I need to sell. It is so new the paint is still intact in the intake area. The electric start is great and it really worked well, just not used much. Any idea on what fair value is here in Iowa? Thanks in advance.<br>

I have a B7200HST to sell and need to know fair value. It has 850 hrs on meter (but it may be 1850), runs great, 4wd, 60" mid-mount mower, turf tires. The seat is cracked, but otherwise looks fine. Any ideas on fair value? Thanks in advance.<br>

My LP3584 mower has four corner wheels, air inflated with a tube. The problem is that when I make a turn without lifting the mower deck, the tire bends over and loses air and deflates as the tube is pinched. It's expensive to get new tubes and install them. Should I change to solid wheels? Any other ideas? Thanks in advance.<br>

I tried the Pats Easy Hitch on my LP3584 yesterday. All went well until the nut came off the bolt holding the top link together. The the top bar came crashing down on the "tie rod" that holds the Easy Hitch arms at a constant width, breaking it and sending it through the mower. This then put a stress on the right hitch, loosening it and losing the spacer. Not a pretty sight. Does anyone know an easy way to re-create the "tie rod"?

I am looking for a "Quick Hitch" that will actually work with my LandPride 3584 mower and my wifes ArenaWerks rotary groomer. I have a cheap version (purchased from discount farm supply store) that doesn't work. In both cases, the top link will not match up between the implement and the 'quick hitch'. Any suggestions?<br>

I'm looking at a Ford 917 84" flail mower, in very good shape. It has some offset, but what do the specs say the offset should be? I would use it to mow on a road bank and I need a good bit of offset to mow over the ditch edge to get the tall grass down to satisfy the neatness needs of my wife's horse farm. I'll pull it with a JD 4710. I can find the width of the tractor, and I know the mower width, but I need to know the offset to see how much overhang I will have? Where can I get the specs? Also, the mower, yellow in color, is priced at $800. Good or bad? Thanks in advance.<br>

I guess I qualify as a hobby farmer. I have a nice job with the university and my wife runs a horse farm on our 78 acres. The farm operation has a goal of making money, but it is subsidized by the regular job. I get to mow the pasture and other fun with my boys toys.

FYI: Just sold my 2000 JD4300, hst, mfwd, fel, R4's, 380hr for $16,500. Purchased 2002 JD4710, hst, mfwd, R4's, 160hr for $21,000.

It still takes a weekend to mow the entire area, but it does a great job. I have found one little accessory that the fair wife really likes. We have both outside and inside riding arenas, and the dirt really gets rutted up from the riding. So I found her a rotary arena groomer (Arena werks from Snodgrass manufacturing) and she just loves to run that thing. And it leaves the arenas in perfect groomed shape. I even used it to work up the lawn and sowed the grass right on top of it. Take care.
