THANKS DAVE, I DID FIND A PICTURE OF AN ALLIS CHALMERS 5015 ONLINE WHICH APPEARS TO BE THE MODEL. I WENT TO WIXFILTERS.COM WHICH HAS ALLIS CHALMERS FILTERS WHICH APPEAR DIMENSIONALLY CORRECT EXCEPT MINE HAS A GLASS/PAPER FUEL FILTER AND WIX LISTS A SPIN ON. WHICH FUEL FILTER DO YOU HAVE AND HAVE YOU EVER REPLACED IT? DO YOU HAVE A SOURCE?

I found a JD 755 with 592 hrs. it has a model 42 front loader and a 5' box blade on the back. looks well used but in good condition. What would I expect to pay.
I am planning on using it around the house landscaping and and preparing a base for a new drive way, also a little work on clearing some land. If this is tooo small what would you suggest.

Bill,
Was curious if you tried your DX40 without the FEL and the BB720 rotary cutter. I am still looking to buy one this fall but I want to be able to mow w/o the FEL. If it's too heavy as to be unsafe and pull the front end, I'm going to go with the BB72. Thanks

Mark,I noticed your message on another post about the foam padding coming out from under the radiator. I thought that may have been the problem. The padding on my tractor had dissolved (literally) to almost nothing. My dealer replaced everything and put a DEKA battery with a drain hose to vent the battery. Severla of the rental tractors on his his lot were also having the same problem. he was glad that it was brought to his attention.

Hi, <br>I have a hydraulic fluid leak. It looks to come out under the seat. Is there a fix that someone could do themselves? Should this be left up to the pros? They want $60/hr and wait a minimum of 2 weeks to look at it.<br>thanks<br>

It does not cost much to build a lean-too off the back of the building. If you do not want to do that you can build a seperate machine shed with just 3 walls and a roof using steel or wood. Then you can hang canvas tarps from the front to make doors, this is what most of the Amish use for their saw mills because the canvas tarps are cheap compared to doors and are easily repaired. It cost a few dollars but you can then just back up to each implement and hook on, you wouldn't have to move everything around all the time to get to something. To build a machine shed you will be looking at about $2k with a gravel floor which is very affordable for most people. Then you can park your tractor in it if you had to.

I am looking to sell an excellent condition Woods RD6000 (5') finish mower. It is less than a season old with about 75 hours use. I'm going to upgrade to a larger mower. I paid $1510.00 for it new in Spring '00. I want to be fair on the price but don't want to give it away either. Any pricing suggestions?

Thanks, gentlemen, for the views. While I am not building golf courses, I'm not exactly your average suburbanite. We raise a fair quantity of blueberries, asparagus, and apples, and while we can always pile the brush over in the woods, I have always thought there was a better way. I'd love to have a self-powered one, but the used ones I see around here are $3000 up, won't start, and have large chunks falling off. In other words, they are trashed. You can rent one over a weekend here for $200, I guess I'll try it and see how much we can stuff thru it in 2 days. I guess I'll wait until I see a PATU work before I buy one.
Unfortunately, the nearest mushroom farm I know of is in Pennsylvania.

I own a NHTC33d. I bought it earlier this Spring. I am very pleased thus far. I haven't experienced any problems with the temp guage but the range selector and pto lever problems are commonplace I think. Your previous replies seem to be right on the money with their input. I'm from Evansville. If you're from southern Indiana you can't be too far away.

I don't think your quoted prices are too far off. I was the recent owner of a TC21D. My caveat to you is to make sure that the 18 to 21 hp tractor is the right size for you. I was happy with the performance of mine, 60 hours and no problems, but was unhappy with the size of the tractor. I traded up to a TC33D last week and am glad I did. It is a considerably larger frame tractor and I appreciate the extra width when mowing on hills or using the front loader. For me, the feel of having more trator under me was worth the trade in $$$ I lost on a one year old trade in. Best of luck in price negotiating.

Can anyone tell me of a "bolt on" grille guard that I could attach to the front of my NH TC33. I'd like to avoid putting a low hanging branch or other foreign object through the grille of the tractor. I'm not aware of New HOlland making one, that would be my first preference. Any decent quality after market would also suffice as New Holland paint is easy to come by. Any web sites and/ or dealer names would be appreciated.

I have owned a Bri-mar dump trailer for about two years now. It's a 6'x10' low profile, tandem axle 7000 lbs. trailer. I've hauled everything from shingles to dirt to rock and it has proven to be exceptional. The 7000 lbs. trailer is rated for carrying 5000 lbs. (The 7000 lbs. rating minus the 2000 lbs. weight of the trailer equlas the 5000lbs capacity.) I have however on several occasions exceeded that. I've hauled 6300 lbs of rock with no problem in either hauling or dumping. The bed raised with little hesitation. As far as being flimsy, I have no complaints but then I don't know what youre comparing it to. One thing I have experienced (and this may be applicable to trailers other than the Brimar) in very cold weather, if you elevate the bed to maximum heighth, you may find yourself climbing to the top of the bed while pressing the "down" button to get the bed to lower. It happened to me twice.
I have hauled my TC33d in my trailer but it is a tight fit and no room for any 3 pt. implements. Also, if you are getting the trailer to haul your tractor, do yourself a favor and spend the extra cash up front to get the drive on loading ramp. It's rated at 4000 lbs. and is channel reinforced.

This past spring I purchased a Shibaura Mod SD2040 25 hp tractor. I am looking for any type of manual for this tractor (owners, service, parts, etc). I know that it was built in Japan and I have been told that it is a close match for the Ford Mod 1300.

I have owned my 4100 since April. I had never noticed any scuffing while mowing (brush hog or finish mower). I have been reading this posting on the scuffing problem for some time now, so today I took my tractor down on some new winter grass that is about 6 inches high (very tender and green). When I mow, the tractor is in 3LO, so I tried this speed for a while (short and long turns) with no scuffing. Next I tried 4LO and cranked the steering as far as I could both right and left, even went around in a tight circle 10 times (flattened the grass, but no scuffing. I was wondering at what ground speed most of you mow (I'm not saying that this is the problem, just curious).
