I am new to tractoring. I recently bought a considerable plot of land and I am ready to buy a tractor, but after reading some of the feedback in this forum I am concerned. The new property is East Coast and I currently live on the West Coast and will not be moving there for another 3 years. This means that the tractor will sit for long periods (6 to 9 months) without being used.<p>Since I was planing on spending 2 months there this summer and the proerty contains 10 acres of overgrown valley land that is crying to be bush hogged, I thought it would be a good time to buy a tractor and give it a go. The property includes a small house and a garage where I can shelter the tractor, but I am concerned about letting it sit idle for so long.<p>Would I be better off trying to rent a tractor or maybe just contract out to have the work done? Once I move to the property I will definately buy a tractor.<p>If I do buy a tractor, how often should it be run to keep it in good condition? <p>Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
