Hi Andrew, the SD2003 was released for the Japanese market only and Shibaura, like Kubota, do not and will not support used domestic tractors exported to western countries, by fly-by-nighters, so they wont even supply there distributors/dealers with parts or info.

I believe, if my memory serves, that the New Holland TC24 or TC25 Boomer is the closest US release model to the SD2003, it's not a Ford 1710 which is a lot older and only about 17hp as opposed to yours which is about 23hp in Japanese terms 24 or 25 in US inflated hp.

What is your engine model number?? eg H843, S773 ????

Hi, there is no fuse box on a B6200 but under the dash you should find 2 inline plastic fuse holders hanging about.
It is possible that its just a loose or broken connection, start at the battery and work your way to the ignition switch. Alternately check the clutch/starter safety switch, ignition lights should still come on you just won't be able to turn it over.

Doesn't he just want to see if it works or not? "if it works it will turn and engage the solenoid" it's not rocket science! Most auto elect's without physic abilities could not predict a failure 3 years into the future. Yes it is worth noting that if it turns thats no guarantee that it will have enough torque to turn the engine over, but I have never met a Auto elec who can test the torque output of a starter on the bench. A strip down and test of the internals is the proper way to be sure, buts in this case thats best left to a professional. But really who gives a rat's when we are talking about guy who just wants some idea about what he is doing with out spending the money on getting a professional to come out and do it for him. Lets not split hairs for the sake of a $75 dollar starter motor and a couple of hours, tops, if thats actually the problem!

Whether buying a Lenar or new Turkish Case or a Japanese John Deere!..... Always ask for a list of customers that own the model or series you are looking at (at least 3 People) If the dealer can not supply a list or they seem dubious, THEN DO NOT BUY THE TRACTOR!! This will achieve two things 1. confirm the quality of the tractor and 2. the quality of service you can expect from the dealer.

This small bit of research may save you a world of trouble.

Foton , Euroleopard, Futian, whatever. I actualy on sell them in for an importer in Australia. Iv been in the tractor industry for over 15 years, and worked on and for the big names, Ill tell you what they are shitting themselves over the pricing pressure from Kioti/Daedong and the range of Chinese tractors in the market and some of the Italian machines. Ive noticed that the prices of the big names have come down, so its all good mate. There is some crap comming out of China but there is also some good products and they are only getting better it will not be long until the Chinese have the tractor market nailed up. So the way I see it you can join in and take advantage of it or get pushed aside. I think that Jinma and Foton are the pick at the moment. You know that China now supplies the bulk of general manufactured goods to USA and Australia they have us sorted out, they don't need nukes all they would have to do is close there ports to us, if you don't belive me start looking at where most of the things around your house or workshop realy come from these days. Even the big manufacturers are now starting to sub out a lot of their manufacturing to Chinese factories.
Anyway we could supply parts to the US at an absorbatant prices, but I can't believe some one in the US has not jumped onto this one.
