My tractor dealer in michigan called berlon and they said they would send me a new plate angle iron,and it would be my problem to have it replaced at my expense,the new plate angle iron would not cure the problem,the frame itself also has to be straighted.It would still destroy the angle and frame just as before if it hit a rock or man hole cover,I should not have to pay a dime to repair this brand new equipment,this equipment has a bad design and the dealer should stand up for their customer,thanks Lee

Do yourself a favor and by a Powerstroke. I own a 2004 powerstroke with the six speed and it will run circles around the 2004 cummins six speed the trucks are basically identical as far as size and options. the ford is just a better truck

Where can I find a hydraulic filter replacement for a<br>
Yanmar FX28D ? It needs a CAPA CP175VL-35. I understand<br>
that similar filters made by WIX and NAPA will not work.<br>
I've read posts that recommended getting the filters <br>
from an authorized Yanmar dealer, but,I don't beleive<br>
such dealers exists for unauthorized grey market tractors.

I just signed the contract for an L-3010 4x4 HST with turf tires (I live in Florida in sand) a 482 FEL, and a Woods 7200 72" rear finish mower with rear discharge for $18200. The tractor and loader were $16500 together and the Woods mower was $1700. The dealer told me they are coming out with a replacement unit in September.

Ok I had a change of plans and am going with a different dealer (nicer attitude)I wound up changing to an L-3010 HST (Yeah!)with the 482 FEL and a Woods 72" rear discharge finish mower for $18200. How's this price? How is the Woods 7200 finish mower?

I'm new to the tractor world, but have recently acquired
a compact tractor (33hp) with backhoe. I'm curious about
the flexibility of extending or not extending the hoe.
My hoe is connected by rigid lift arms and an adjustable
draw bar. Tightening the draw bar rolls the pitch of the
hoe blade. How do I lessen the extension of this setup ?

I'm looking at a 2wd '98 Case 275 with 250 hrs (not the
old B275). I heard that the 275 was replaced by the DX

The PH looks pretty good, but around these parts you almost can never do enough of it. I did the lime thing in the spring and I used Organic fertilizer as well. The grass plugs that I have are outstandingly healthy, its jus the gaps between. I guess from what you have said the core aerator does not work for seed, at least not compared to the overseeder.
Is it easy to calibrate the overseeder for different seed densities like coarse Rye versus very small fescue and bluegrass, from the looks of these machines the could eat up a ton of product, or are they easy to calibrate. How much seed did you father use on the 1 1/4 acres and was it easy to calibrate or do you wind up going over it twice or more? Thanks

I have a 420 loader with a bucket indicator and has worked properly since I recieved it without having to cut anything off. It sounds like you have the wrong level indicator!

Hi Dan,<br>'Saw your post and the responses. As far as comparing brands go, I'd first ask actual owners how they have fared with their units. Ask about hours and the use the machine was put to. Particularly for a start up business, cost is very important. At the same time you cannot afford to have the units down or raise overhead on parts and labor.<br>Responses from many non-owners (regardless of brand) are nothing more than hear say in most cases and reflective of biases. Market share does prove two things: 1) First, the unit is reasonably reliable. 2) The Mfgr was very good at selling the machine, which owes alot to a successful marketing plan. There is truth to the adage that a good salesman can sell ice water to eskimos.<br>If you want to go to some checking into some yards, I'd personally check out the larger contractors in your area. Most will have compacts for smaller types of work. Given they will tend to keep a machine 'till it's worn out, the brands on their lots will give a good idea as to where their confidence lies. They are your competition.<br>BTW: I use my Kioti exclusively for hole digging, pull logs & stumps, loader work and rough bush hogging. The machine has never failed in any way. Now if I can keep shear pins in the mower ... figured out how to do field changes without unhitching the mower :)<br>Lee

No. To elaborate on Diggerdarol's post, Iseki is a Japanese OEM. I think they may have produced MF compacts. Definately the Bolens. Kioti is a USA brand name for the Daedong Ag. Corp of S. Korea. Both companies manufacture an extensive line of ag equipment. As far as Daedong is concerned, the Kioti brand is a small portion of their tractor market. I've seen some really big units (pics & all) for sale on the internet. These were in Asia.<br>Lee

I've been told the same, but my dealer won't confirm or deny it. Inquiries to the mfgr. is met with silence. However, my dealer uses both shop Kioti & Kubota shop manuals as he says one is better than the other on various items. <br>On the other front, he says he doesn't get much shop business from the Kioti's he sells. He also says doesn't get any Kubota business as the smaller ones tend to go to their dealers & his core business consists of larger farmers (MF, Deere, White). Large Kubotas don't seem popular in this part of NY.<br>Lee<br>Lee

I believe USA Rhino distributor went out of business around the first of the year. Since they are imported from China, I'm sure the People's Republic will pick up another distributer for them.<br>Lee

For a point of reference, a rear blade is similar to dozer blade that you pull with the tractor's 3pt hitch. With that in mind, a box blade has sides on each end of the back blade that travels toward the 3pt hith arms. With requsite cross bracing along the top, you get a box like configuration. All of that extra metal makes it much more heavier, a plus for digging and grading as the sides keep the material from spilling out. The down side, is that they cannot be angled to pull material to the side in certain grading operations. <br>Box blades frequently come with scarifier teeth to help break up the material to be moved. A rear blade will seldom break and move hard packed material.<br>Lee

They can be had at most tractor dealerships and farm supply stores, like Central Tractor, etc. Call ahead first, as some outfits might have to order it. When I was mail ordering tractor parts, you could get them for under $5.00. Be sure you know your exhaust pipe diameter, as I recall there were a couple of sizes. <br>Lee
