I'm in the early stages of opening a Kioti dealership (mostly paperwork at this point) but wanted to know if anyone knows if the lawsuit between Kioti and Kubota has been settled? Assuming I have the opportunity to open any dealership, would you choose Kioti?

Just purchased a used E14D Hinomoto (approx 20 years old). Everything pn dash is written in Japanese except for "oil, horn and glow plug". On the dash there are two turn knobs, I think one is for the lights but have no clue what the other is for? Does anyone know?

I bought the 5103 tractor. I looked around at all other makes models and kept coming back to this one. I don't regret it. I live in Eastern Canada with alot of snow. I also bought a good set of chains and I was never in a place where I wished i had bought a fwd. Damn fine tractor for any use.....

Can anyone offer a part number for a major brand (e.g. Fram, LuberFiner, WIX, etc.) oil and air filter for a 1610D Yanmar. Would it be the same as the US model YM226? Thanks!! Jeff

I have a JD790 that also had battery corrosion problems. The tractor has only 25 hours and the battery and battery compartment was very corroded. The battery was leaking acid from the top filler holes. I have experience in high performance cars and had similar problems. We fixed the problem by replacing the battery with a gell cell battery from optima. These battery's can be mounted upside down with no chance for fluid or vapor leakage. Since I have replaced the battery in the tractor, I have had absolutley no corrosion problems. Not even the slightest hint of corrosion.

Loaded means with calcium chloride liquid in the tires (filled ~75% I presume).
You must fill them so that the entire rim is always covered, but never never
fill them up fully. They need lose their ability to handle stumps, bumps without bursting.

I have my Turf tires loaded. I use a 6' grader blade, pull stumps run the
loader, plow snow and never have either traction problems, nor do the rear
wheels ever lift. (With my JD855) When running the loader, I usually keep
have the grader blade on as well, so that helps keep the balance too.

Dana is the 1010 2wd or 4wd are the tires bar or turf and what year is it think they made the 1010 from 1982 to about 1994 may be wrong pretty sure the first was in 1982

A friend of the family has a L245 Kubota diesel it has been sitting in the barn for about 6 or 7 year The paint and tires are in decent shape it has a woods belly mower she is wanting to sell the tractor need to know when they were made and what would be a fair price the tractor is 2wd with 1117hrs.hope someone can help.thanks Jeff

you may want to check on the hp I own a 1010 and it is 16hp 3 cly diesel it is a 1987 4wd with turf tires and has 736hrs it comes with 5ft woods finish mower,6ft rear angle blade,carry all and 5x10 trailer and I'm asking $6000.00

Yes the 1010 Massey can handle a loader you have to move your muffler to a vertically position may yours is like that most of the are horizontally.the front pto was an accessory is your 4wd drive i have one fore sale that is 4wd with 736hr. no belly mower but 5ft woods finish mower and other equiment that goes with it and i'm asking $6000.00

I own a MF 1010 4wd with 736 hr.I have had no trouble out of it it is a 1987 I thought they made the 1010 from 82 to 94 maybe wrong i have not ahd to buy any major parts for the tractor I buy iol filters at wal-mart frame 2951 I have minde for sale i no longer need it had some calls but when people find out it is only 16hp they think it is to small and will not pull the 5ft finish mower that is behide it i also have a 6ft blade thst i have used does anyone know what engine massey is useing in the new compact tractors.thak jeff

Friends,<br>I have a new John Deere 4400 4wd hydrostat (80 hours),I was thinking about trading up to either the 4500,4600,or 4700.My understanding is(correct me if I am wrong)the JD4500 is not available in with hydrosatatic transmission.I do not plan to be running a baler,but I drag a lot of wood etc and would be only be using a roto tiller,bush hog and scraper blade and loader.The reason I am wanting to go to the bigger size,is for stability and more pulling power on heavy loads,not to mention a bigger loader to move more volume.I like the hydrostatic transmission on the 4400,is there any advantages over the different type of transmissions available,(which is the best to go with?)I want the AG tires for the aggressive traction.Would the 4700 be any better at pulling heavy loads and handling the loader,than say the 4600 or 4500,I know when it comes to pulling you are limited a lot by traction rather than power.And do the new 4500,4600,and 4700 have the new axle design?What is the price difference on the 3.I havent asked my dealer yet,thought maybe you tractor folks could help answer these questions.<br>Thanks in advance.<br>

In my previous letter I stated some of my feelings about the way the axle issue is being handled etc,but I for one do not think that John Deere is junk,far from it John Deere has some issues they need to work the axle and probably by the sounds of it some customer/manufacture dialogue is not very forthcoming in dealing with these problems and frustrations as well.They need to be more accesible and follow up on problems more from what I am seeing on this board.
But as far as John Deere being junk as mentioned in previous posts,I would strongly disagree,I have no quarrels about my JD 4400 performance,overall John Deere makes a great product and has good name reputation to go with it.
These are just my opinions and everyone else is entitled to a opinion as well.

I dont know if anyone has told you or not,but these JD 4000 series do not float(and they are not waterproof either),they are not made like a volkswagon so whatever you do not drive it in the pond.

I recently bought a new JD 4400 HST,I have put 58 hours on it in about 6 weeks,doing nothing but bushhogging lots of heavy brush in these West Virginia hills,we have a plant here called multiflora rose,the state planted out here about 40 years ago for a natural fence,they didnt think it would spread on its own,but this stuff is found on every farm in the state,I have backed into ten ft high piles of this stuff,I have nothing but praise for the JD 4400 (so far)although I wish I had the heavier brush hog,I have the 513 and it is way too light.

Couple of questions:1) Mower seems to 'wander'. Replaced rubber column bushings, but steering box seems to have 'slop' in it. Is there any adjustment to the box? 2) Where is a good place to buy a service manual (rather than the $75 dealer item)?3) How 'hot' should the mower deck gearbox get? Mine is pretty hot. You can't hold your hand on it for more than a couple seconds, but the paint is not discolored.
