I got it started after a couple hours' work tracing. Three things were found:

1. A fuse that visually looked good turned out to be open. Test fuses electrically not visually!

2. One of the two individual wires from the transmission Neutral Switch was not fully seated in the mating socket wire. It was intermittent when lightly handled.

3. One switch was found to be marginally adjusted so sometimes it closed, and sometimes it wouldalmost, but not quite close. Easily adjusted.

I bought a new wiring harness for my 8N when I was rebuilding it a few years ago. When I decided to make the change to a 12 volt alternator system I no longer needed the wiring harness since it was designed for a standard 6 volt generator system with external voltage regulator. It's in mint condition. Where else can I advertise it for sale? Where do the 8N fans hang out?

How can I maintain forward headway while applying the left rear wheel brake? Because the brake pedals are on the same side as the HST rocker pedal, Because my right foot is applying the brake, I have to engage the Cruise Control to maintain ground speed, but the minute I apply the left rear wheel brake the tractor stops. Depressing the Left (only) rear brake pedal disengages Cruise Control. I need a third foot to hold the rocker pedal down!<br>

How do I make a tight left turn without scuffing at the front wheels? This is epecially a problem with Super Steer while trying to make a really tight left turn.<br>

Seems like another ivory tower design to me.<br>

I know that Kubota Grand L does not have this problem. J-D puts the brakes on the left side so as to not conflict witht he right fot operated motion control pedals.

I'd try heating the part that the bold threads into. Maybe wet the thread joint with penetrating oil to be sucked in as it cools. May take a few attempts. I'd also consider hitting it with a hammer while hot to help break loose the rust or corrosion. If the bolt head is good, try an impact wrench.

Thanks for the suggestion, Art. The PTO powered machine TV-60H does a fair job on leaves the man said, especially when the leaves are dry and britle. $23,000! I just turned up a Tuff-Vac from AgriMetal:<br>

The Perkins 104-19 is a 4 cylinder engine, and it looks nothing like the 3 cylinder Shibaura engine. Google on "perkins 104-19" for spec sheet.

I want to replace my Ford 8N and am considering an L3130. Does anyone have a similar mid size prox. 3000# 23 HP tractor and use it with a front snow blade? Any comments or suggestions?<br>

I'm also considering purchaseing a JD-4310 and a New Holland TC-33DA. I'm told that the JD 4210 won't take a snow blade up front. All comments welcome!<br>
