I've had an L3010 for a few months and really like it. I use a SE5 Rhino mower and a 5' box blade. It is a real "rastlin match" to hook up the brush hog. Unless I extend the lower link telescopes, they won't spread far enuf to get past the pins on the implements. The box blade isn't too bad since I can move it around by hand and back, but the brush hog is much heavier and more cumbersome. I use a short piece of 2x4 to shift the mower left and right. I get it hooked up ok, but is there a trick to get the telescopes pushed back into position. I usually bounce the brush hog up and down and it finally falls into place. Any problem mowing with the links stretched out? My previous L3010 did not have telescoping lower links.
FYI-I recently had a problem with my 3010 starting. I had been mowing. Stopped to blow the grass and dust off the mower b'4 loading onto my trailer and it would not start. I checked and cleaned battery cables and checked starter hookup etc. I called the dealer to have them come out and pick it up (still in warranty). He asked me to make sure the PTO was disengaged. It appeared it was, but I bumped it on and off again and guess what...the tractor started. I am more careful now when disengaging the PTO.

Just for grins, I would suggest you look at the Grand L series Kubota for a comparison to the B2910. The L3010 is the entry level in the L series while I believe the B2910 is the top-end in the B series. The price between the B2910 and the L3010 are very similar in the Dallas area. The L series gives you a slightly sleeker tractor along with more operator comfort and even a little stronger in most area:e.g. L3010-32 gross hp/24 pto hp, the B2910 30 gross hp/22 pto hp////L3010 fuel tank 9+ gallons, B2910 6+ gallons////L3010 lift at 24" behind lift 2200 lbs, B2910 1300 lbs////total hydraulic flow-L3010 11.7 gpm, B2910 9.5 gpm. The L3010 gives you an adjustable, reclinig seat, a tilt steering wheel, cruise control. I'm not sure if the B series include those 3 features. If your time on the tractor is long, comfort sure means a lot at the end of the day. A few dollars more in the beginning can be returned many time over the years. I don't mean to meddle, but I tho't my notes might be of some benefit in your evaluation process. Good luck.

You are exactly right. I think they used to actually paint the letters HICO on the side of the cutter. Now, I believe they print HOWSE. Thanx for the come back.

I live 30 miles east of Dallas. Brush hogging cost $35/acre to $75/acre. Most hourly rates I hear quoted are $35/hour on up to "ridiculous" prices. I have done tractor work around here for several years. I stay as busy as I want to. I usually quote my job at a job price (not per hour; I plan to make $35-$40 per hour, some time more on small jobs). I have a $35 minimum. If a person forces me to quote a per acre price, I will quote it at $30/acre. I will drive a reasonable distance to a job for a half-acre mowing job, but I get $35. On a real easy mowing job and close to home, I may mow 2 acres in a hour in which case I would charge $60 for the job.
BTW, I have slightly over $20,000 invested in my tractor, equipment, and trailer. If I had a $500 Farmall tractor, I would still charge the same prices.
