Why not drain the tank and refill with fresh fuel? There is no way I would continue to run questionable fuel in my $20K+ tractor. If my diesel cans sit around for more than a few weeks I dump them into my fuel oil tank and make sure the Kubota always has fresh fuel, (and winter conditioned now that things have cooled off).

No, finish mowing is not the primary use.

1) How many Acres? 15 that get brush hogged once a year, 3 that get mowed weekly, 12 that get hayed once a year and finished mowed 1 - 2 times/year.

2) What Tractor do you have? Kubota L3710 for the big work, 18HP Craftsman for the 3 acre yardwork.

3) Mower Width Belly or 3PH? 72" 3PH on the L3710, 44" belly on the Craftsman

4) Are You happy with it? Extremely happy with both machines. The L3710 is 4yrs old, the Craftsman is 18 yrs old.

Around here any agricultural building can use rough cut lumber, if fact a building permit for an ag building is not required.

If a non ag building exceeds 150 sq ft or is wired a building permit is required.

Talk to your local build inspector/code enforcement person. He'll be a wealth of info. You may be required to use graded lumber for studs, joists and rafter yet be able to use rough cut for sheeting the building, or you may be allowed to use 100% rough cut.

I seriously doubt this needs to be replaced. Almost anything can be repaired. Let's see some pictures. If the loader frame is bent see if an auto collision shop can straighten back out on their frame machine. I've seen some very handy guys do amazing rebuild work, you just need to ask around.

A picture sure would help. Me recommendation - cut off enough to even them all out and install a pressure treated kick board. For example, if you cut off 11", you can then install a PT 2x12 horizontally, (toe/kick board) to replaced the rotted wood you removed.

How high is the water table around your cabin?

Do you have footer drains plumbed to daylight?

If you have high water the skim coat is a little more insurance against water seeping through your bloack wall. If your area is dry and you have decent footer drains, seal the block yourself with 2 coats of foundation sealer.

If you have water problems, skim coat the block, apply 2 coats of sealer on the exterior, make sure you have decent footer drains and apply dry lock on the interior.

I live in upstate NY, with some hills and use a rear mounted snow blower on my L3710. For years I plowed with a truck, the only thing I miss is the heated cab. I went with a rear blower for several reasons, 1) it cost 50% less than a smaller front blower, 2) size, the front mount was 59", my rear mount is 78" 3) I did not want to give up the FEL, it's great for clearing out the mailbox, pulling the snow back from the garage, etc.

I have 20,000 linear feet of Red Cedar on my house. Longevity - 100+ years if it's treated regularly, (I re-oil every 3 - 4 years). If you let it go natural it will eventually turn gray. Longevity with no maint - at least 50 years.

The last house I had also had cedar siding and I went with a solid stain, it lasted 10 years before it needed to be recoated.

It's labor intensive to install, at least 3 - 5 times the labor cost of vinyl.

Make sure you treat both sides of the siding before the install and use stainless steel nails. Anything else will leave a black stain, even galvanized siding nails will eventually bleed.

I had the same problem on my L3710, I sprayed it with silicone and worked the throttle back and forth 20-30 times and shot some more silicone on it while I pushed and pulled it from stop to stop, (of course the engine was off.....). This improved things for me.

4PR is 4 ply rated.

Turf tires are also known as balloon tires. What you are seeing is normal. If you are going to be doing some serious FEL work I'd run them up to 25#'s and be careful to not take hard turns, these tires can be rolled off the rims.

2 additions to Kay's recommendation - 1) seal all 6 edges before installation. If you seal the siding agfter it is up the side towards the house is going to dry faster than the outside surface and wide boards will cup and curl. 2) use screws not nails.

I've had my L3710 for 3 years and am very pleased with it. I average 125 hours/year and have done nothing more than routine mainteneance since I've owned it.
