The John Deere Quick Attach will not work with Skid Loader Attachments, it's totally different...

There's several system for skid loader type of Quick attach but they can get expensive. Prices ranged from about $800 to nearly $1500 for loader adapter an 3 plates for attachments...

I'm going to attempt attaching the 400 series J. D Quick Attach to my 70 loader... The pins on the 400 series are 1 inch and on the 70 only 3/4, also the 400 Q. A. is wider then the 70's arms but each problem can be fixed with a set of bushings available from the dealer. All the parts needed to make the conversion cost me $260 bucks. Now I need a good welder to make the alterations to the attachments and weld up the bushing in the proper place..

Not sure I'm have the time to make the conversion this fall as winter looks like it's on the way an I'll need to mount the snow plow. The plow is a real bugger to put on an I don't plan to take it off till I'm done with it in the spring...

Yeeek, sod & clay, sound like you have a most difficult job ahead of you. You may what to get someone to break up that sod for you, then you can us the little J.D to move it around...

You could try a box blade with scarifier to loosen the soil. Once loosened you can then use the loader bucket to haul it anywhere you want...

Back in the old day, 1 inch of plow per horse power was the rule but soil condition vary in different parts of the country so you need to adjust. In sandy soil a plow will pull much easier then if your land is heavy clay.

My best suggest would be to talk with the tractor dealer in your area, he knows best the area soil conditions an the tractors capability..

I have a Wood's 5000 Chipper/Shredder, it can handle logs up to 5 1/4 round. The horse power required is 15 to 30 hp...

My JD 790 has 30 hp engine, 25 hp PTO, will handle most logs with no problem but large (5 in.) dry Oak logs can stall the engine if not held back. For that reason I recommend a manual feed...

If you have decent soil with normal grass growth an you plan on only cutting grass every 3 or 4 weeks, I think you need something other then a rear discharge finishing mower....

If you planned on cutting it every week, you might make it work. You may need to add weight in front to pickup that heavy of a mower.

Have a J.D. 790 since fall of 2001, no major complaints. As for the brakes, with just under a 100 hours, I have not experienced any problems. I would keep on eye on the battery as the original did leak...

In my opinion the J.D. 790 gives you the most bang for the buck in that size/hp class. If you prefer a HST transmission, check out the New Holland TC 30. Another no frills tractors an a good
buy..

The snow blade is by Curtiss, you tell them what tractor you have when you buy it an they will send you some adapter plates.

It pins to the loader the same way the bucket does. If you have J.D. quick hitch, there are adapter for that too.

Hope to add a after market quick hitch to make it easier to switch between pallet forks, bucket an snow blade...

I remember reading something awhile back where the EPA will expand it's clean air requirements to tractor. The JD 790 uses a direct injection engine which is more efficient but runs a little dirtier then a indirect engine.

I have a 2001 JD 790 an the owners manual show it to be 30 hp engine, 25 hp PTO.

Congratulation, even with the reduced hp, I think you made a good choice on tractors...

There is no getting around it, the JD 4310 is loaded with a lot of feathers but they come at a heafty price. I really don't feel all those electronic gizmo's an gadgets are going to last as long as a the hardware does.

There is a old saying" Keep It Simple Stupid, There's Less To Go Wrong"

I would not trade the JD 790 even up for a 4310 but I would trade my JD 790 gear for a JD 790 HST, providing they did not add all those complicated electronic controls...

Curtis Cab Inc makes two for the J.D. 4110, which is almost
a identical tractor to the J.D.4100 series. One is a soft-side an the other has hard-sides.

Don't know if they sell direct or not...

I think first you should decide exactly what you want the tractor
to do an take if from there.

For the typical home owner, the JD 2210, 4010, and 4110 would all
sever you well but the 2210 gives you the most bang for the buck.

You can get a new J.D. 790, 8 sp gear with 4WD and FEL for about the same money they're asking for the used 4310, 2WD...

The J.D. 4310 is a lot heavier tractor with a much stronger loader
but being only 2WD, I think the 4WD 790 would out perform it...

I gave $13,200 plus tax for a new 790, 4WD, loaded tires, with FEL. I run it in 2WD 95% of the time but put a heavy load on
the FEL, I'm glad to have the 4WD option...

The rear tires on my 790 are loaded with Molasses. I think it'd made
from sugar beets by am not positive. The stuff is thick, stinks and
weight about 10 1/2 lbs per/gal. The molasses are non corrosive,
and biodegradable.

If your only going to do PTO work you don't need the weight but if
your planning on a FEL, or doing work requiring ground traction you
better load the tires...

The weight it self has very little effect on the tractor as it's carried
by the tires but the weight does increase traction so this does
make the drive train work a little harder. I'm sure the tractors
built to take it as most tractors with FEL have loaded tires..

I'm not positive we're taking about the same thing but believe the off set your referring to is a final reduction gear. This takes a lot of the load off the transmission an differential. And on the NH the final gear reduction is taken care of by the differential...

Don't believe all the CC 7000 series tractor are by Mitsubishi.
CC added three new tractor that don't resemble the Mitsubishi
tractors in any way. The entire body appears to be plastic or
fiber glass, not sure which.

These are the new models.

7252, 20 hp, 2 cyl Kawasaki gas engines, 2WD, HST

7254, 20 hp, 2 cyl Kawasaki gas engines, 4WD, HST

7264, 21 hp, 3 cyl Dahatsu Diesel engines, 4WD, HST.

The Mitsubishi Cub Cadets have enjoyed an excellent reputation.
That reputation may or may not apply to this new tractors so
thread carefully...

You need to first decide what you want to do on your 13 acres.
Is your land all grass, weeds, woods, needs landscaping, ect.
It's very hard to make a recommendation without know what your
needs are...

Probably the two best values in compact tractors today are the JD 790 or the New Holland TC 30. These tractor have everything you need to get the job done but no frills. Your not paying for allot of Mickey Mouse gadgets that are more hype then useful.

They both have 30 engine HP, 25 PTO HP, are available in 2 or 4WD The JD 790 is offered in 8 sp gear only, the NH TC 30 can be had with gear or HST transmission.

Before buy anything you need to price these tractors, there's allot of bang for the buck..
