First let me say thanks to all of you who have responded to my questions on Kubota vs JD. Art you asked what I was wanting to do with the tractor to be sure I had enough power with the cab and air. I want to use a post hole attachment-a front bucket-a brush hog on 25 acres and a roto-tiller around my orchard. I can not find a good used one with cab so I will shop for new. Is the extra cost of 5-6 thousand worth going for in my situation for a 5030 and would the money be well wirth it for trade in down the road? Again my thanks!

A friend asked me the difference between a case 580 K and a case 580 Super K. Does anyone out there know the main differences? Thanks to all that can help.

Sounds like you deal with them? I was certain no one one was on this site except JD owners. In your opinion just a guess what would one go for with the options and hours I have listed? I think a new one is probably pretty high if it compares to the JD. What would you say are the main differences - Chief said it was most like a 4600.

Chief--I agree that most of the prices others have given are not just like the one I may get but at least I will be prepared for an approximate number. I tried to contact the local farm board and was told that I would have better luck to shop around the larger cities in the area. Do you know how big Texas is? That distance we were discussing is nothing compared to how far apart the larger towns are out here.

Chief -sure--just wish Dennis would have given some directions before getting critical. Maybe a small introductory fact sheet. As I look at the prices the three of you paid it does seem like the basic price for a 4310 just might be quite high. All of you that responded have ordered a lot of extra things. Did you mention the tax deduction or was that one of the others? Would that not apply even if the tractor is used?
