If you decide not to use chemicals, try a TR3 rake. I am going to rent one in a week or so from my local remtal store. They have a video and it looks to do a great job.

The blades will not start spinning until you release the clutch. You cannot go from nuetral into gear with the blade spinning. You have to put the tractor in gear, engage the PTO, and then release the clutch. The blade will start spinning at the same time you start moving. That is why a 2 stage clutch is nicer to mow with.

is a LIVE PTO really that important
